Early autumn and early winter, more and more migratory birds fly to Jiangsu, painting a beautiful picture of ecological harmony.

Long neck, pure white feathers, black feet and webbeds, and a touch of yellow on the mouth. This is the small swan population that Suzhou bird watching enthusiasts photographed by the Yanghejing Gate by Taihu Lake last week.

volunteer Zheng Wei of Suzhou Wetland Natural School said: "The most last week, 42 little swans were observed at the water intake on the side of Taihu Avenue, which should be the highest record this year."
Most of these little swans come from Siberian . They fly to The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in November every year, and return to Arctic Circle in February of the following year to reproduce. In addition to the little swan, waterfowls such as bone-headed chicken , chicken , spot-billed duck and other waterfowls have also arrived at the Taihu wetland one after another, forming a beautiful and shared ecological landscape .

Zheng Wei: "The water quality and ecology of Taihu Lake are also well protected. This is one aspect. There are many rich aquatic plants by Taihu Lake, such as the water, such as the squash, the aquatic organisms , including the water, which are rich in aquatic organisms . These are the foods of the little swans."

Wujiang Tongli National Wetland Park also welcomed a large army of migratory birds. There are migratory birds everywhere on the open lake and among the dense reeds. They either play and forage in the water or soar in the sky, forming a beautiful landscape. It is understood that most migratory birds will choose to leave here when flowers bloom next spring, and the entire migration season will last until April of the second year.

Suzhou Wetland Natural School teacher Zhou Minjun said: "The large number of winter migratory birds in Wujiang are geese duck . We have observed thousands of them before. In recent years, we have observed that Tongli National Wetland Park records green-headed diving duck , which is national first-class protected animal , and Taihu Oasis Wetland Park observed roll-feathered pelican , which is also national first-class."

in Wujinhui Lake, Changzhou, and overwintering migratory birds such as egret , mallard , flower-faced duck , spot-billed duck, and other overwintering migratory birds have also arrived. Against the backdrop of the lake, they sometimes play with each other, sometimes spread their wings to tidy up their feathers, and sometimes dive into the water to find food, which is so comfortable. "
Experts suggest that while everyone is watching the birds, they should also care for these little creatures. Relevant departments in various places will also strengthen patrol work to ensure the safe wintering of migratory birds.
