On November 20, 2022, fire rescue personnel were conducting field mountain water pump installation training at the field training ground of the Maerkang Brigade of the Aba Forest Fire Brigade. Firefighter Li Taihe suddenly discovered something strange in the river. After observation, it was found that a small animal was stuck in the middle of a dead tree and could not move. Everyone quickly launched a rescue, and after half an hour of hard work, they finally rescued the small animals from the frozen river. Commander Liu Yunxi conducted a preliminary examination of the small animal and found that the animal similar to the deer had blood stains and signs of infection on the abdomen and legs, and needed medical treatment urgently.
After brainstorming, everyone decided to send a car to a nearby wildlife rescue station. After being identified by the staff of the rescue station, the fire rescue personnel rescued an hrimp deer , also known as green deer or black deer. It belongs to national second-class protected animal . This species was listed as the "Vulnerable" of the Red List of Endangered Species by the "Hyper-risk IUCN" in the "Hyper-risk" list of endangered species. Under the treatment of animal doctors at the rescue station, the deer slowly regained its vitality and the rescuers fed food. Finally, after the rescue station staff confirmed that the condition was not serious, everyone released the Maoguan Deer back to nature. Rescuers continued to return to the training ground for training.
