Here, the white crane mainly feeds on the rhizomes of 春正 . Over the years, as the protection area of protected areas has increased year by year, the area of low-water wetlands suitable for wading birds such as shoals and swamps has greatly increased, attracting all kinds of water birds to stop foraging.

What's more gratifying is that the ten pairs of oriental white storks bred in Xianghai Reserve this year have bred a total of 35 chicks. At present, the adult birds have led all the chicks to migrate successfully. Other national key protected birds monitored, including 1,804 white-headed cranes, 7,585 gray cranes, 3,013 little swans, 1,653 white-headed geese and 433 white spoonbills, all of which have increased significantly. In addition, there are countless migratory birds waiting for geese.

In view of the large number of migratory birds and wide distribution this year, the sea protection area has increased its protection efforts, increased manpower, strengthened patrol and law enforcement, and scientifically standardized the protection, monitoring and rescue of water birds, so as to ensure that water birds live and feed safely here and migrate to the next station safely.
