According to Han Baoliang, deputy director of Qilihai Wetland Protection Center, Qilihai Wetland introduced 10 elks from Beijing Miluyuan in October 2011. Starting last year, the Qilihai Conservation Center began to try to let elks grow wildly and gradually expand their living scope. Over the past year, elks have gradually adapted to the wild living environment in wetlands and have successfully reproduced naturally. Last spring, the elk herd only gave birth to one deer, and 4 were born this spring. Now the "deer prosperous" elk family has reached 25 .
Of course, the protagonist of Qilihai is still a migratory bird. As the cold winter approaches, migratory birds are also accelerating their migration. Oriental white stork, gray heron , heron , white spoonbill , anti-billed sandpiper , swan, gray crane , red-mash duck , cormorant , red-billed gull and other migratory birds recently flew to the Qilihai Wetland one after another. They rested and foraged on the reed marsh, danced graceful figures, and painted a beautiful ecological picture.
