When the first wildebeest jumped into the river after repeated trials, the animal army followed. In the chaotic scene, some wildebeests who were panicked would be pushed down and fell to death on the shore. The crocodiles in the water launched attacks one after another, and the stirring waves were wrapped in blood. A few hours later, the chaos subsided and the river was full of corpses.
The wildness of the animal world makes people feel awe of life. In fact, the great migration in Africa not only occurs in summer, but is not suspended throughout the year. The army of herbivores went from the Serengeti grassland in Tanzania to the Masai Mara grassland in Kenya, repeating over and over again, following the rainy season schedule and pursuing water and grass. On this clockwise closed-loop journey, they strive to survive the bad weather, escape the capture of carnivores, and complete the task of finding food and reproduction. Along the way, new life is born and life is over. Everything is over until death.
As stated in Migration: Incredible Animal Journey, “It may sound like a exhausting journey, but if you stay in place, they cannot survive”. On this earth, many animals are also traveling like this at the same time. Birds fly in the sky, elephants trek on land, turtles swim in the sea...the animals are struggling to cross the mountains, deserts and oceans.
