In the video taken by Mr. Ma, two porpoises sometimes jumped out of the water and sometimes sank into the river. They were so happy that they swam out of the water and then fished. Chen Bingyao, captain of the Jiangsu Section Expedition Team of the Yangtze River Porpoise Scientific Expedition in 2022, introduced that it is extremely rare to take such a clear picture. The natural coastline of Hechangzhou, where the porpoise is fishing and playing, has a high proportion of natural coastline, is superior in environment, is not navigable and has less interference, and is a favorite habitat for the porpoise. On September 25, the expedition team also found finless porpoises in the protected area many times, which shows that the ecological protection and restoration of the protected area has achieved remarkable results.
It is understood that this inspection is the fourth scientific investigation of the entire Yangtze River basin after 2006, 2012 and 2017, and it is also the first systematic investigation of basin species after the implementation of the Yangtze River's comprehensive fishing ban and the promulgation and implementation of the " Yangtze River Protection Law ".
