In this world, who can resist the charm of "round and round"? On June 30, the "Panda Era - Revealing the Past and Present Life of Giant Pandas" exhibition opened in the North District of Hebei Museum. The crowded exhibition hall once again proved the powerful attraction of giant pandas, which will be free and open to the public until October 10.
The Past and Present Life of Giant Pandas
The "Past and Present Life of Giant Pandas" exhibition is very popular with parents and children. Photo by our reporter Wang Jianguo This exhibition is jointly sponsored by Hebei Museum of Natural History and Chongqing Museum of Natural History . The exhibition focuses on more than 100 giant panda fossils, giant panda specimens and ancient human fossil models from different evolutionary stages in the Chongqing Natural History Museum. It combines habitat simulation, multimedia three-dimensional images, installation art and other display forms.
Highlights of the exhibition
The highlight of this exhibition is the display of heavyweight collections from the Chongqing Natural History Museum. For example, the giant panda "Xin Ni'er" that greets everyone at the entrance of the exhibition hall is the world's first plastinated panda specimen. Xin Ni'er lives at the Bifengxia Base in Ya'an of the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center. She died of duodenal obstruction in 2016.
Panda era craze
From online panda videos to Hollywood Kung Fu Panda, to Beijing Winter Olympics star Bingdundun , panda craze has never stopped. This time, the "Panda Era" appeared in Hebo, and many citizens came after hearing the news. Teacher Qi, who lives in , west of bridge, took his son who is in elementary school into the exhibition hall and explained the relevant content to him seriously. She laughed and said her family loved pandas.
Nature Series Summer Exhibition
This year’s “Summer of Nature” series is inspired by Bing Dundun, the mascot of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. We plan to hold a special exhibition called "Panda Era - Revealing the Past and Present Life of Giant Pandas" around our national treasure, the giant panda.
Wang Ran, deputy director of the Hebei Museum, said: "Visitors can watch the exhibition, listen to explanations, check in, and take photos with giant pandas. They can also participate in interactive games to learn more knowledge and experience more fun."
