Recently, the Italian animal rescue organization Parco Natura Volalto adopted Yuma, an injured female white stork. They conducted a series of examinations on Yuma and found that her right leg was fractured and had severe inflammation, and there was also some inflammation in her left leg. To do this, they had to amputate Yuma's right leg.

So Alessandro Guidi and Gianluca Monti, who were responsible for taking care of Yuma, took her to see many veterinary experts, and finally they found a solution in Naples plan. Veterinarian Emilio Noviello took them to the Diaz Veterinary Clinic, where Dr. Ciro Marra used a CT scan to obtain images of Yuma's right leg, after which Mateo Zanfa Dr. Matteo Zanfabro created the three-dimensional model and 3D printed it.
After several installation and debugging sessions, the prosthesis was successfully installed on Yuma’s disabled right leg. After a period of adaptation, Yuma was able to walk almost normally. As a result, the burden on the other leg was much lessened, and the inflammation was relieved.
