It is a rare species of black-eyed butterfly in China. They accidentally discovered a similar species to the mountain black-eye butterfly in the bushes above the mountainside. A senior butterfly friend quickly made a preliminary judgment that it was the rare species of black-eye butterfly that butterfly fans have been searching for for many years - the Guangxi black-eye butterfly. This is a female butterfly with a horizontal white band on the forewing, and the hip angle of the hind wing is somewhat damaged. Its surprise appearance made butterfly friends excited and took photos to record it.
The Guangxi Daieye butterfly is the 15th butterfly species of the genus Daieye with image records in Yong'an City, Fujian. In 2017, the "Chinese Butterfly Illustrated Book" published by Straits Publishing and Distribution Group Straits Publishing Group only had specimens of male Guangxi black-eye butterflies, but no relevant records of female butterflies.

Guangxi Dai-eyed butterfly
Medium-sized -eyed butterfly , the back of the male butterfly's wings is dark brown, and the ventral surface of the wings is reddish brown. The eye spots on the outer edge of the ventral surface of the forewings are extremely blurred. There are 2 middle bands on the ventral surfaces of the front and rear wings. The middle band on the outer side of the ventral surface protrudes outward obviously, the outer area is darker and redder than the inner area, and there are 6 eye spots on the sub-outer edge. The markings of the female butterfly are similar to those of the male butterfly, lighter in color, and there is an extra white horizontal band on the forewing. Adults are mostly seen from April to June and are mainly distributed in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and other places.
