Zhang Jinjin recorded the starry sky in Jinan from his own perspective. His work was also selected as the most beautiful starry sky painting in China in 2020 and 2021, allowing more people to see the starry sky in Jinan.
Hiking in the wilderness late at night to capture beautiful moments
In the most beautiful starry sky paintings in China in 2020 and 2021 initiated by the China Starry Sky Vision Alliance, the work of Jinan photographer Zhang Jinjin appeared for two consecutive years. Zhang Qianjin’s 2020 work "Stone Ape Galaxy" was shot in Dujiapo Village, Xiying Street, a mountainous area in southern Jinan.
"The selected works were taken on June 20, 2020." Zhang Jinjin introduced that the reason why it was named "Stone Ape Galaxy" is because of the huge stone just discovered in Dujiapo Village in 2019, which looks like Peking Man.
“After learning that there is such a strange stone in Dujiapo, I have been thinking about taking pictures. I also deliberately stepped on it, but the location of the “stone ape” was difficult to find. In the end, I found the local villagers and with their enthusiasm I found it after helping to guide me.”
On that starry night, after checking the weather conditions, Zhang Qianjin drove for more than an hour from the city to the southern mountainous area of ​​​​Jinan with his photography equipment. Zhang Qianjin sprayed mosquito repellent all over his body, stepped into the grass that was as tall as half a man, and walked for half an hour in the direction of the "Stone Monkey" before arriving at his destination around 22:00. Amid the chirping of grass insects, he set up a tripod and finally captured the beautiful moment of the "stone ape" gazing at the Milky Way.

Starry sky photography has very strict requirements on weather and air quality. "When shooting, it is often cloudy and rainy. Sometimes Zhang Qianjin will wait for several times in order to take a good photo. hours until weather conditions are ideal. "Starry sky photography is a way for me to record and express my emotions.
