Brother Dao, I have a one-meter-two-meter bottom filter fish tank. I change one-third of the water every time. The tap water is oxygenated for two days. When changing the water, I take a basin and pour it directly into it.

It turned out that after changing the water, it turned white, and it cleared up overnight! I washed the cotton when I changed the water. There are about 70 zebras , peacocks, lantern fish in total. Why are they turning white?

Impurities are a problem if the water quality is too hard, and water flow impact is another problem.

If our water quality is too hard, there will naturally be some fine impurities in the water. These impurities may not be able to settle through oxygen explosion. This is a problem.

The reason why my water trapped time is moderately prolonged is because the water body is too hard. Wait for the impurities to settle before changing the water. The trapped water bucket will not be drained when the water is changed to the bottom. The water body will not be excessively cloudy.

The second problem is the impact of water flow.

This is like the waves on the beach. Only when they collide with the rocks on the beach will the waves become bigger.

The same is true for changing water. If we use a basin to pour directly into it, the impact will be great. Of course, there will be some tiny bubbles, which is normal.

Assuming that the water is added in a trickle, at least there will not be so many fine bubbles, and the water quality will not look so white for the time being.

Of course, this must also be combined with certain impurities in the water. Otherwise, the bubbles should burst in seconds, and we cannot see that the overall water quality looks a bit white due to too many bubbles.

Sometimes I will pour water directly into the fish tank with a bucket. In some cases, the foam on the water surface will come out directly.

This is normal, don’t be surprised, it will be fine in a few days.

As long as the filter cotton is moved and the water pump is restarted, impurities must enter the cylinder.

Another most serious problem is that some impurities caused by stopping the water pump and cleaning the filter cotton enter the cylinder again.

Whether it is dripping from the filter cotton, or it is present in the pipe itself, or the bottom layer of the water pump chamber, there will also be some impurities in the filter material precipitated.

During this process of switching on and off, and changing and washing, some impurities will of course enter the water body of the fish tank. These are the various fine particles of that we can see with the naked eye.

Sometimes, they are not necessarily fine particles, but may also be flakes. Impurities in the pipeline fall off, algae fall off, etc., and then are crushed by the water pump, or the floc of the filter cotton, etc. are all possible. Found in bodies of water.

The water itself is very stable. After turning on the filtration, it will be filtered out overnight.

If the water quality was relatively stable before and the physical filtration effect was also very good, then it will also take a certain amount of time to remove all these so-called impurities again. Filter to the filter cotton, this time depends on the filtering effect and traffic.

Sometimes it will be very fast, such as half an hour, one or two hours, and the impurities in the fish tank will disappear.

Sometimes, when it is late at night and the ornamental fish no longer eat, defecate, or sit still, the filtering effect may be better, so when you wake up in the morning, the water quality will greatly improve, and of course it will self-clean.

This will also have a certain relationship with the amount of impurities in the water before we changed it, the amount of water changed, the amount of impurities in the water, and the amount of impurities in the pipes. It also has a certain relationship with whether the water change includes washing cotton, and whether a large amount of water is added after the water change. It is related to factors such as feeding.
