From October 4th to October 10th, the China Giant Panda Conservation Theme Exhibition at Expo 2020 Dubai will be held in the multifunctional hall on the first floor of the China Pavilion. The exhibition covers an area of nearly 400 square meters, with the theme of "One Blue Sky, One Dream", to showcase the effectiveness of scientific research and protection of giant pandas and promote Xi Jinping's thoughts on ecological civilization and the achievements of China's ecological protection.

The main highlight of this exhibition is the giant panda "Tong Tong", the mascot of the China Pavilion. The exhibition mainly displays the situation of captive giant pandas that have basically reached the goal of population self-sustainment. The wild training and release of captive giant pandas based on the “mother animal with cubs” training method of the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center has been established with many countries. The international cooperation and exchanges of giant pandas mainly include wild giant pandas living in the six mountain series of Minshan and Qinling, covering six sectors including the giant panda national parks in Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces. The theme exhibition showcases China’s decades of ecological protection achievements, showcases China’s outstanding achievements in the fields of giant panda wild training and reintroduction, and giant panda international scientific research cooperation. The number of wild giant pandas reaches 1864 and the giant pandas are raised in captivity. The gratifying results of the number of 633 pandas allowed the audience to fully experience the cuteness of giant pandas, and at the same time understand the concept of ecological protection in China, and join the ranks of global ecological protection.

In order to vividly display the situation of captive giant pandas, the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center will broadcast live once a month during the Expo. It includes six different themes such as visiting giant panda cubs, aging giant pandas, and returned giant pandas. The live broadcast is equipped with breeding. The staff and other staff will introduce the basic situation of giant pandas and answer on-site questions, so that the general audience will have a deeper understanding of giant pandas. It will also expand the one-week limited physical exhibition into a three-dimensional and vivid cultural space.

The immersive VR interactive experience is an innovation of this theme exhibition, allowing visitors to experience the panda's naive attitude. After wearing the VR glasses, the giant panda cubs in the screen are within reach. Visitors can feed and wipe the pandas through the handle to experience the "fun" of the panda dad and nanny; as soon as the screen turns, the visitors will be led by the panda The cub led the climb down from a tree about two meters high and felt the joy of climbing.
