"At the beginning of the new year, everything is renewed." With the first ray of sunshine in the new year, on the morning of January 1, 2023, Guigang City held a New Year's Day flag-raising ceremony to wish the great motherland prosperity.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the flag-raising ceremony officially began. The fire-fighting flag guard members were in high spirits and marched with sonorous and powerful steps to escort the national flag to the flag-raising platform. The flame blue and the red of the national flag complement each other, making it particularly beautiful.

The onlookers solemnly paid attention to the national flag and watched the bright five-star red flag rising slowly and fluttering in the wind. Under the national flag, the fire fighters are proud of the strength of the motherland, proud of the flame blue on their bodies, and proud of their responsibilities and missions.

The Guigang City Fire Flag Guard was officially established on October 26, 2018. It is the second fire rescue team in the country and the first in Guangxi to undertake the task of raising and lowering the national flag in prefecture-level cities, with more than 40 members. Since its establishment, it has successfully completed the city's national flag raising and lowering tasks for New Year's Day, May Day, National Day, sports games and other festivals and large-scale celebrations.
