The ethics committee of National Taiwan University revealed this time that the committee member responsible for the oral examination of Zheng Wencan's master's thesis actually included Lin Jialong, a member of the Democratic Progressive Party. The outside world suddenly realized that this is how Masters and Ph.D.s are produced in Chen Mingtong's "factory". How could Lin Jialong find fault with Zheng Wencan's thesis?
One after another, the DPP members who entered the school "repay each other for fighting" (Hokkien : good things should be shared with good friends) all came to Chen Mingtong for guidance. He helped them get their degrees, which became an open secret in the political and academic circles. Chen Mingtong, who is famous in the Green Camp circle, has such strength and is very easy to eat. It is no wonder that he has been from the deputy chairman of the Mainland Affairs Council to the chairman, and now he has become the intelligence chief of the Tsai administration. His position is very stable.
It is precisely because there are too many students to cover that Chen Mingtong has a arrogant attitude. When preparing for inquiries, he often says "Director Chen will not answer Professor Chen's questions" and refuses to answer questions. Before the election, Lin Zhijian's paper was found to be plagiarized by the National Taiwan University Academic Ethics Association, and Chen Mingtong hid behind a lawyer's letter. Because of my good relationship with Tsai Ing-wen, all of this was fine. Unexpectedly, Zheng Wencan’s paper also exploded. According to the inventory of the Chinese Kuomintang, Chen Mingtong has supervised a total of 173 master's and doctoral students' theses. The Chinese Kuomintang believes that all should be examined and plagiarized papers should be found.
From Lin Zhijian to Zheng Wencan, there will be "green degree factories" like Chen Mingtong. National Taiwan University is not to blame, but Tsai Ing-wen has "long-term connivance" for this. Before the "nine-in-one" election, when Lin Zhijian was revoked by National Taiwan University for plagiarizing his paper, Tsai Ing-wen still supported him in the Standing Committee of the National Taiwan University against National Taiwan University. When something happened to Zheng Wencan this time, the DPP immediately issued a press release signed by Zheng Wencan as the convener of the "2022 General Election Review Group" and talked about post-election review.
