A high-rise fire broke out in Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City on the evening of September 13. A 24-story construction site that was about to be completed first started on the 16th and 17th floors, and then the 15th to 24th floors fell into flames.

Almost all the ladder trucks of the New Taipei Fire Department were dispatched, and a total of 88 fire trucks of various types joined the disaster relief ranks. The residents were evacuated on site and nearby roads were blocked.
A raging fire engulfed the building, and many floors were completely immersed in the sea of flames. Sparks continued to fall downwards. The high-rise building was fully engulfed in fire, and the flames illuminated the night sky. It was clearly visible as far away as 20 kilometers away. The fire brigade first sent 13 units and 31 fire trucks to rescue the disaster.
However, the fire spread upward and was difficult to control. The entire building from the 15th floor to the 24th floor, as many as 10 floors, was engulfed in flames!
The floor where the fire alarm was located was too high, making it difficult for ordinary ladder trucks to rescue. New Taipei City's 70-meter tallest ladder truck was dispatched, and seven more 52-meter ladder trucks were not enough. We urgently requested the Taipei City Fire Department to support the 70-meter-high ladder truck on site.
Due to the large amount of formwork, wire materials and acetylene used for cutting piled inside the construction site, explosion sounds were heard from time to time. The police expanded traffic control and evacuated nearby residents, while strong winds fueled the fire. There was a crane on the top floor of the fire scene, and residents were worried that the crane might fall at any time. The fire started again on the 16th floor.
Preliminary understanding is that no one is trapped in the building. The fire department had controlled the fire at about 11 o'clock in the night and continued to control the water source. Nine ladder trucks were used to sprinkle water to extinguish the fire. It is estimated that it will still take 1 or 2 hours to extinguish the visible fire points. As for the remaining internal fires, firefighters will be sent to the water distribution line to extinguish the fire one by one after assessing the on-site situation.
The New Taipei City Emergency Rescue Association dispatched to assist the fire department and launched an aerial camera to help investigate the fire. After the fire was extinguished, the fire department's fire control department would also investigate the cause of the fire.
