Zhuge Liang scolded him for being shameless, but he was actually not bad at all.

Romance is a romance after all, and it often differs from official history.

Hi friends, do you know about ghosts? If you know something about ghosts and beasts, then you must have seen the number one ghost beast video in the Three Kingdoms - the Marquis of Wuxiang scolded Wang Lang to death.

The story goes like this. After Zhuge Liang surrendered Jiang Wei and conquered three cities of Wei, the monarch of Wei Cao Rui couldn't sit still. He quickly asked a group of ministers under him who could fight with Zhuge Pifu and repel the Shu army. Wei and Shu have been fighting for many years, and they all know that Zhuge Liang is difficult to deal with, so whoever goes to fight at this time will be unlucky. None of the ministers said a word, and the situation was awkward for a time.

At this moment, the elegant Situ Wanglang spoke (don't worry, he didn't ask Ying to fight). He recommended (trap) General Cao Zhen to fight against Zhuge Liang, and also gave a reason that Cao Zhen could not shirk - Chen Guan said that every time the emperor used General Cao Zhen, he would conquer wherever he went.

As soon as he heard this, Cao Zhen was dumbfounded on the spot, and quickly excused himself by saying, "I have little talent and little knowledge, and I am not qualified for my job." But Wang Lang spoke again, saying that as Cao Zhen was a minister of the country, he could not refuse. He also expressed his willingness to go with Cao Zhen on the expedition.

At this time, Wang Lang may have already regarded himself as a great talent like Guan Zhong and Leyi, but Cao Zhen could only complain secretly. In desperation, Cao Zhen had to drag Guo Huai together to fight against the Shu army.

Speaking of the two armies in front of the formation, the three of them discussed the strategy of retreating from the enemy. At this time, Wang Lang spoke again. He said that with just one word, he could make Zhuge Liang surrender and the Shu soldiers would retreat without a fight. Regarding Wang Lang's many recent speeches, this was the only one that made Cao Zhen very happy. When the two armies met, Cao Zhen and Guo Huai pressed the formation, Wang Lang rode out and asked to talk to Zhuge Liang by name.

When Zhuge Liang saw Wang Lang's formation, he must have come prepared, so he could only adapt to the situation.

Sure enough, Wang Lang started by saying that Zhuge Liang's army was nameless, and justified the Cao Wei regime by saying that "the country is in danger of losing its eggs, and people are in danger of being overthrown."

Wang Lang must have been very satisfied with his remarks, but what he didn't expect was that Zhuge Liang not only did not change sides, but instead retorted with "rotten wood, beasts, wolf-hearted people, and servile people."

Zhuge Liang also said that Wang Lang, as a veteran of the Han Dynasty, did not want to pacify the Han Dynasty and prosper the Liu Dynasty, but helped the traitors to usurp the throne.

Hearing this, Wang Lang was filled with anger and was eventually killed by a horse. Zhuge Liang easily won. Wang Lang, who originally wanted to retreat from the enemy with a few words, was killed by Zhuge Liang. I have to say that this kind of Wang Lang was very inferior. As for Zhuge Liang scolding Wang Lang to death, later generations still have a hymn: "When soldiers and horses come out of the Western Qin Dynasty, a talented man can defeat ten thousand people. With a flick of his tongue, he scolds the old treacherous minister to death."

Wang Lang has completely become a joke, but having said that, romances are romances after all, and they often differ from official history. The real Wang Lang is not so inferior to .

1

Erudite and talented, gentle, respectful, filial and righteous

Wang Lang, named Jingxing, was born in Tan County, Donghai County. He was smart and studious since he was a child, and studied under the Confucian master Yang Ci at that time.

In that era when there was no imperial examination, the selection of official officials was almost monopolized by aristocratic families. However, because of his proficiency in the classics, Wang Lang became a doctor and became the magistrate of Fuqiu County. However, not long after he became the county magistrate, his mentor Yang Ci passed away. After Wang Lang learned of the death of his mentor, he resolutely gave up his official position and wore mourning clothes to mourn for his mentor.

Wang Lang's move deeply moved the local prefect, so he recommended Wang Lang to the court as Xiaolian, but Wang Lang refused on the grounds that the period of filial piety had not expired.

After Wang Lang's filial piety period expired, Xuzhou Governor Tao Qian recognized him as a talented person and worshiped him as an official in Xuzhou Zhizhong. At that time, Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty was in Chang'an, and troops were raised in Guandong. Wang Lang, Zhao Xian, and others went to admonish Tao Qian with the "righteousness of the Spring and Autumn Period" and sent envoys to Beijing to accept the emperor's order.

Tao Qian adopted the suggestions of Wang Lang and others. The emperor was very pleased with Tao Qian's move, so he awarded Tao Qian the title of General Anton, Zhao Xian served as the prefect of Guangling, and Wang Lang served as the prefect of Kuaiji.

2

Elegant and upright, neither humble nor arrogant

Wang Lang served as the prefect of Kuaiji for four years. He changed customs and governed properly, and was deeply loved by the local people.

In the first year of Jian'an, Sun Ce captured Kuaiji. Wang Lang's subordinates believed that Sun Ce was invincible and it would be difficult to defend the city of Kuaiji, so they all advised Wang Lang to avoid his sharp edge and abandon the city and flee. However, Wang Lang believed that as a Han official, it was his duty to protect the city for the emperor, so he refused to listen to others and insisted on holding on to the city. The invincible Sun Ce crossed the water to attack Guling several times, but was repelled by Wang Lang.. Later, under the strategy of Sun Jing, Wang Lang was defeated by Sun Ce.

After the fall of Kuaiji, Wang Lang prepared to flee to Jiaozhou, but when the ship sailed to Dongye, he was pursued by Sun Ce and had no choice but to surrender. Sun Ce respected Wang Lang for his elegance, integrity, and reputation, so he only scolded him a few times but did not harm him. He also sent Zhang Zhao to persuade Wang Lang to serve him, but Wang Lang refused, so Sun Ce had to let Wang Lang go.

Wang Lang began a wandering life, in a difficult situation and precarious. Even so, he still sheltered and cared for his relatives, friends and old relatives, and did many moral things.

Later Cao Cao wrote to Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty to recruit Wang Lang to the court as an official. Wang Lang traveled from Qu'a to the Central Plains a few years later. Cao Cao appointed Wang Lang as an admonishment official and participated in Sikong Military Affairs.

Cao Cao once asked Wang Lang how Sun Ce was. Although Wang Lang was beaten by Sun Ce and fled, he was fair and upright, and did not speak ill of people behind their backs . He evaluated Sun Ce as a hero and said that Sun Ce would become a great person in the future.

Confrontation with Zhuge Literary Events

Wang Lang and Zhuge Liang in the official history did have a confrontation, but not in front of the two armies like in the novel, but through letters.

According to the " Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms · Xu Jing Biography", Wang Lang and Shu Han minister Xu Jing were old friends. He once wrote a letter to persuade Xu Jing and a group of Shu Han ministers to return to Wei, but Xu Jing and others ignored them. So Wang Lang gathered a group of Wei writers such as Hua Xin and Chen Qun to jointly challenge Zhuge Liang.

The letter takes God's will as its theme and analyzes the situation between Wei and Shu. The text is logically logical and majestic. Among them, metaphors such as fireflies and the moon, rotten grass and flowers are also used appropriately and are amazing.

After receiving the letter, Zhuge Liang also replied with an article rectifying the name of Shu Han. The article uses the ethics of monarchs and ministers as an entry point, and severely criticizes Wang Lang and others for their disloyal behavior of helping Cao Wei usurp the Han Dynasty despite being Han ministers. After analyzing layer by layer, we came to the conclusion that only the orthodoxy of the Han Dynasty could unify the world. Both sides have clear logic and brilliant writing.

The confrontation between Wang Lang and Zhuge Liang was written into "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" by Luo Guanzhong , so there was the story of "The Marquis of Wuxiang scolded Wang Lang to death".

In the story, Wang Lang attributed the change of dynasties to the reincarnation of the heavens and believed that the rulers of the world have always been the virtuous people. Therefore, in Wang Lang's view, "The Yellow Turbans promoted chaos, Dong Zhuo rebelled, and Jue and Si continued to abuse; Yuan Shu arrogated the title in Shouchun, Yuan Shao became the lord in Ye; Liu Table occupies Jingzhou , Lu Bu's tiger swallows up Xujun." These are all signs that the strength of the Han Dynasty has been exhausted, which leads to the current crisis of "the country is in danger of being overrun with eggs, and all living beings are in danger of falling."

Zhuge Liang believes that the reason for this critical situation is that "above the temples, rotten trees serve as officials; between the palaces, animals and beasts eat their salary. People with wolf-hearted and dog-like behavior are in power; servile and servile people are in power one after another. As a result, the people of Shejiqiu Ruins are in ruins." This is the so-called "the upper beam is not straight and the lower beam is crooked".

From this aspect alone, Wang Lang can be said to be more open-minded than Zhuge Liang. After all, Emperor Huan Ling was indeed not a virtuous king.

Immediately afterwards, Wang Lang used the achievements of the two generations of the Cao family to explain that Cao Wei's victory in the world was due to destiny. Among them, "Sweeping the Liuhe, sweeping the eight wastelands, all the surnames fell in love, and the four directions admired virtue. It was not obtained by power, but it was the destiny of destiny." Zhuge Liang responded by choosing Wang Lang as an old minister of the Han Dynasty, saying that as a Han minister, "it is reasonable for him to help the king and support the country, and to stabilize the Han Dynasty and prosper the Liu Dynasty. How could he help the rebels and conspire to usurp the throne! The crime is so serious that heaven and earth will not tolerate it!"

Between "one achievement and one pass", it is difficult to distinguish the winner from the loser, so next, we need to use strength to speak. Wang Lang persuaded Zhuge Liang to switch sides and surrender, saying, "We in the Wei Dynasty now have millions of soldiers and thousands of good generals. How can the fluorescent light of the rotten grass reach the bright moon in the heart of the sky?" Zhuge Liang, in the name of being an orthodox Shu Han official, countered Wang Lang's saying that "those who obey the heavens will prosper, and those who defy the heavens will perish" by saying, "I am following the order of my successor, and I am raising an army to fight against thieves." Both sides have their own arguments, and it is difficult to tell the difference. After

, there were many such exchanges of letters. Each exchange was a grand event in the literary world, but in the end it all ended. In 228 AD, Zhuge Liang began the Northern Expedition, and Wang Lang died in the same year. The two never met .

Cao Wei's important minister, Confucian classics master

After Wang Lang returned to Wei, he was deeply valued by the Cao Wei Group. After Cao Cao claimed King of Wei , Wang Lang took charge of the laws of Wei State, focusing on forgiveness and leniency for suspected crimes.

Cao Pi After Queen Wei, Wang Lang moved to the right to become the imperial censor and was granted the title of Marquis of Anlingting. At that time, the Wei State had been fighting for more than thirty years. The soldiers were exhausted, the people were heavily burdened, and people's livelihood was difficult. Wang Lang wrote a letter to persuade the people to save punishment and elaborate on the national conditions of Wei. He hoped that Cao Pi would reduce the punishment, support the young and weak, and help the people recuperate and recuperate for the long-term development of Wei. He received strong support from Cao Pi.

After Cao Pi proclaimed himself emperor, he changed the imperial censor's official title to Sikong, and promoted Wang Lang to the title of Marquis of Leping Township. Later Wang Lang had many suggestions, and most of them were adopted. He also gave up his position and appointed talents. After Emperor Ming ascended the throne, he was promoted to Situ, ranking among the three Dukes.

Cao Pi (film and television stills)

After Wang Lang returned to Wei, the three monarchs before and after Wang Lang relied heavily on him . Later, he, Cao Zhen and others were able to enjoy Cao Cao's temple due to their merit.

Not only that, as a master of Confucian classics who devoted his life to the study of Confucian classics, he also edited and annotated many Confucian classics, such as "Book of Changes", "Spring and Autumn", " Filial Piety ", "Zhou Guan Zhuan", etc. The Wei court also used the "Book of Changes" written by Wang Lang as the standard for studying "Yi". Cao Pi even commented on Wang Lang by saying, "These three men are great men of a generation, and they will be difficult to succeed in future generations!"

In addition, Wang Lang is praised by future generations for his unique vision. He selected the Sima family and betrothed his granddaughter Wang Yuanji to Sima Yi's second son Sima Zhao. The two gave birth to Sima Yan, the founding emperor of the Jin Dynasty who unified the three kingdoms.

At this point, everyone must have understood that this person who was scolded to death in the novel had extraordinary achievements in his life.
