In fact, after this election, another uncommon politician came into people's view, and he is Chiang Wanan, the grandson of Chiang Ching-kuo and son of Chiang Xiaoyan. In this county and city election in Taiwan, Chiang Wanan defeated his opponent Chen Shizhong from the Democratic Progressive Party and his independent opponent Huang Shanshan, and was elected as the mayor of Taipei City. His election further promoted Tsai Ing-wen's resignation.

Jiang Wanan was born in 1978. His great-grandfather was Chiang Kai-shek , and his grandfather was Chiang Ching-kuo. Looking at his family relationship alone, Jiang Wanan can indeed be regarded as a noble young man born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
But what is little known is that before the 21st century, Jiang Wanan’s identity as a member of the Jiang family was not actually recognized by the outside world.
His father, Jiang Xiaoyan, was the illegitimate son of Jiang Jingguo. Before he recognized his ancestor and returned to his clan, almost no one knew that Jiang Xiaoyan was a child of the Jiang family, let alone Jiang Wanan.
Chiang Ching-kuo
Jiang Xiaoyan once used the name Zhang Xiaoyan, "Zhang" is his mother's surname, and his mother's name is Zhang Yaruo. She fell in love with Chiang Ching-kuo in the late 1930s and early 1940s. However, at that time, Chiang Ching-kuo had already married a wife and had children, so Zhang Ya-ruo was just Jiang Jingguo's underground lover, and his identity was shady.
At that time, Jiang Jingguo loved Zhang Yaruo very much and even considered marrying his second wife. For this reason, Chiang Ching-kuo went to Chongqing to find Chiang Kai-shek, told Chiang Kai-shek his feelings, and hoped that Chiang Kai-shek would agree to his marriage to his second wife.
If Chiang Kai-shek had agreed to Chiang Ching-kuo at that time, maybe Chiang Xiaoyan would not have recognized his ancestor and returned to his clan so late, and his son Jiang Wanan's political path might have gone smoother. However, time cannot be turned back, and there are no ifs. Due to political and other factors, Chiang Kai-shek failed to agree to Chiang Ching-kuo, and completely stopped Chiang Ching-kuo from marrying his second wife.
However, although Chiang Kai-shek did not agree with Chiang Ching-kuo marrying a second wife, he had a good attitude towards Chiang Ching-kuo's illegitimate child. He even named Chiang Ching-kuo's illegitimate child after "filial piety", from which the name "filial piety" came.
Jiang Xiaoyan
Perhaps because of the big tree, Zhang Yaruo was killed after giving birth to a child, and Zhang Yaruo's children also lived a wandering life. Until Jiang Jingguo's death, he was not able to see Jiang Jingguo again.

After Chiang Ching-kuo died of illness on January 13, 1988, the matter of his illegitimate son's recognition of his ancestors began to gradually come to fruition. With Jiang Xiaoyan's efforts, he finally got the relevant departments in Taiwan to recognize the identity of his Chiang family in 2002 and received a new ID card. The parents column on the ID card clearly stated "Father Chiang Ching-kuo".
From that moment on, Jiang Xiaoyan recognized his ancestor and returned to the Jiang family.
In December 2004, Chiang Ching-kuo's original wife Jiang Fangliang passed away. Three months after Jiang Fangliang left, Jiang Xiaoyan changed the surname on his ID card from "Zhang" to "Jiang".
Later, Jiang Xiaoyan took his son and changed his surname to "Jiang", which is Jiang Wanan.
Jiang Wanan was both surprised and at a loss to become a member of the Chiang family. There is no doubt that this status has brought a lot of pressure to him. His father is old and many politicians in Taiwan have set their sights on him. It can be said that his every move is being watched.

In January 2016, Jiang Wanan was elected as the ninth regional "legislator" in Taiwan and began to flex his muscles on the political stage in Taiwan.
In May 2022, the city and county elections in Taiwan are about to take place. During this critical period, the Kuomintang Central Committee elected Jiang Wanan, making him one of the public opinion representatives of the Kuomintang and allowing him to officially run for mayor of Taipei City.

Ke Wenzhe is the current mayor of Taipei City. He was elected mayor of Taipei from 2014 to 2022, and has served for 8 years.
