However, all opposition parties, including the Kuomintang's "Legislative Yuan" caucus, the "Power of the Times" caucus and the People's First Party group, requested that the "forward-looking regulations" be returned to the "committee" for review. Ke Jianming, the chief convener of the Democratic Progressive Party, responded, "Qianzhan" has been scheduled for an extraordinary meeting, how can it go back? The two sides still have different positions.
Since the "Forward-Looking Ordinance" has been sent to the "committee", "Legislative President" Su Jiaquan convened consultations between the government and the opposition in the morning, hoping to build consensus. However, throughout the morning, the "legislators" of each party could not resolve procedural issues alone, and there was no consensus at all in the meeting.
In order to discuss the "forward-looking regulations", the "legislators" filled the entire conference room and even sat in the second row of assistant seats. Xu Yongming, the general convenor of the "Forward-looking" party group, proposed that the "Forward-looking Regulations" be returned to the "Committee" for substantive review. KMT "legislators" also took turns to speak, believing that the "Forward-looking" track construction project should be deleted, and agreed with the opinion of "Shili". Li Hongjun, the chief convener of the People's First Party League, also expressed his support for returning the "forward-looking" policy.
Su Jiaquan expressed dissatisfaction that the Kuomintang "legislators" kept saying that they would delete track construction, but the track construction in Taichung City was supported by many citizens, and the underground railway in Taoyuan City was also highly recognized by the public. "Are these even going to be deleted?" Ke Jianming also choked: "Forward-looking has been scheduled for an extraordinary meeting, how can we go back?" It should be discussed first in the "court meeting". If there are any questions, they can be raised before the second and third readings.
Due to the different opinions between the ruling and opposition parties, Su Jiaquan directly asked for a rest first, invited "ministerial officials" to attend the meeting in the afternoon, and allowed each party group to speak for a long time.
