The 2022 "nine-in-one" election for grassroots public officials in Taiwan will be held on the 26th to elect county mayors, councilors, township chiefs, village chiefs, etc.
In addition to the fact that one of the candidates for mayor of Chiayi passed away before the election and the voting was postponed to December 18, according to the vote statistics of the Taiwan authorities' election authority, among the 21 county mayors that have been elected, the Chinese Kuomintang won 13 seats, the Democratic Progressive Party won 5 seats, the People's Party won 1 seat, and the other 2 seats were non-party members.
Among them, in the section of mayors of the "six capitals", the Chinese Kuomintang won more than half of the 4 seats.
