In South Asia, Pakistan Navy is the only maritime force capable of confronting the Indian Navy and has rich experience in fighting the Indian Navy. However, due to limited national strength and tight military expenditure, the gap between the Pakistani Navy and the Indian Navy has been getting bigger and bigger in recent years, especially in terms of scale, which is far from the Indian Navy. In contrast, India has purchased a large number of new destroyers and submarines and . Fortunately, Pakistan has China to rely on, which can be reflected in its naval equipment.
Pakistan Navy
Pakistan Navy was established in August 1947. After more than 70 years of development, the Pakistani Navy currently has 25,000 officers and soldiers. Its main tasks are maritime defense, protection of coastal areas and maritime transportation lines. It has under its jurisdiction over various types of ships, dozens and dozens of fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. Almost all the main surface warships in service are made in China (the Pakistani Navy also has a second-hand Perry-class frigate made in the US). So, what Chinese-made warships are currently equipped with?
054AP Ocean Frigate: Tuchriel
is the first 054AP Ocean Frigate. Pakistan has ordered 4 of this type of ships from my country, with a total contract price of US$1.4 billion; among which the first ship, Tuchriel, has been delivered to service, with a full load displacement of more than 4,000 tons. As soon as the ship was put into service, it became the flagship of the Pakistan Navy.
054AP frigate is known as China's strongest foreign trade frigate. Its ship-based weapons, equipment and electronic equipment are more advanced than the 054A frigate used by the Chinese Navy. The most important improvement on the ship is that the 054AP has installed a new SR-2410C S-band rotating single-sided active phased array radar known as "Little Shield". The 054A frigate used by the Chinese Navy uses a 382 flat-panel three-coordinate air-to-sea radar. The former is significantly more advanced than the latter, and the accuracy and detection range are significantly improved.
F22P frigate: Shreker (252)
followed by F22P frigate , a total of 4 ships, namely Zolfikar (251), Shreker (252), Saif (253) and Asret (254). China Hudong China Shipyard is responsible for the construction of . F-22P frigate is improved on the basis of China's 053H3 missile frigate. Its displacement has increased by more than 500 tons to 3,100 tons (full load), with a maximum speed of 29 knots. The entire ship has a smoother appearance design and better stealth performance. It has strong anti-ship, air defense and anti-submarine combat power.
F22P frigate: Asret (254)
In terms of ship-based weapons, F22P frigate is equipped with a single-barrel 76mm automatic main gun, 2 730B near-proof rapid-fire guns, 1 Hongqi-7NB eight-unit air defense missile launcher, 2 quad-mounted C-802 anti-ship missile launcher, 2 triple 324mm torpedo launcher and 2 six-unit anti-submarine rocket launcher, and can operate 1 Z-9EC anti-submarine helicopter (with fixed hangar) . Before the 054AP frigate was put into service, the four F-22Ps were the pillars of the Pakistani Navy, shouldering the heavy responsibility of facing the Indian Navy and friendly visits to the outside world, with a high dispatch rate.
F22P frigate: Asret (254)
In addition to the above two types of frigate , the Pakistani Navy is also equipped with Azmat-class large missile boats, which are currently in service (the No. 4 ship Habit was just put into service on March 31 this year). The first two ships were built and delivered by my country, and the rest can be produced by Pakistan themselves according to my country's technology transfer. This class of missile boat is designed and built based on the China Type 037 missile boat. It has a full load displacement of more than 600 tons, a length of about 60 meters, a maximum speed of more than 30 knots, and a cruising capacity of 600 nautical miles. It has strong maritime assault and ship strike capabilities. The main weapons on the boat are 1 25mm double-barrel naval gun, 1 30mm 6-barrel high-fire speed gun and 2 quad-mounted C-802A anti-ship missile .
Azmat-class missile boat
In addition, as a "fan of Chinese weapons", Pakistan has ordered 8 S-20P conventional AIP submarines from my country, with an underwater displacement of about 2300-2500 tons, a maximum range of 8,000 nautical miles and a maximum dive depth of 300 meters. It is expected to be delivered from 2022 to 2023, and Pakistan will also obtain technology transfer.
Pakistan's Agosta-90B submarine
These 8 S-20P conventional submarines are urgently used by the Pakistani Navy, because currently the Pakistani army can operate in service with only two old French " Agosta -90B" submarines, which are less than one-tenth of the Indian Navy's submarine force. The main weapon of the S-20P submarine is the 6 533mm torpedo tubes located at the bow of the boat, which can launch fish-6 heavy torpedoes (range exceeds 20 kilometers). It has both scale and performance. Once the eight S-20P submarines are put into service, it will be a huge threat to India.
