According to Interface News, on December 3, the Taiwan Epidemic Command Center announced that Taiwan had 13,152 new confirmed cases of new coronavirus pneumonia, 13,098 local cases and 54 migration from abroad respectively; 33 new deaths were reported among the other confirmed cases.
As of now, the cumulative number of confirmed cases of new crown in Taiwan has been 8356,217, including 8318,277 local cases. Since 2020, Taiwan has a total of 14,449 new coronavirus deaths, of which 14,432 are local cases.
According to Taiwanese media reports, 13,098 new local cases today, 921 fewer than yesterday, a decrease of about 6.6%, and 120 fewer than last Saturday, a decrease of 0.9%. Most of them were New Taipei City 2,123 new cases in a single day, followed by 1,792 in Kaohsiung City, 1,675 in Taichung City, 1,335 in Taoyuan City, 1,057 in Taipei City, and 1,015 in Tainan City.
The rest of the counties and cities are less than 1,000 cases, including Changhua County 804 cases, Hsinchu County 443 cases, 437 cases in Pingtung County, Miaoli County 381 cases, 352 cases in Hsinchu City, 312 cases in Yunlin County, 257 cases in Chiayi County, 253 cases in Nantou County, 4190 cases in Yilan County, 171 cases in Hualien County, 163 cases in Chiayi City, 157 cases in Keelung City, 486 cases in Taitung County, 56 cases in Kinmen County, 437 cases in Penghu County, and 2 cases in Mazu.
At the same time, 33 new local deaths were added on the island, aged between the 50s and over 90s, all of which were severe infections, including 32 cases with a history of chronic diseases, 21 cases without more than 3 doses of vaccine , and no special deaths were found.
