On March 5, local time, a small homemade explosive device was found near three major transportation hubs in London. London police determined that this was an interrelated incident.
According to the " Guardian ", the London Police Counter Terrorism Command found the packages in the mail room of Waterloo Railway Station, the City Aviation House at the city airport and the Compass Centre at Heathrow Airport on the same day.
CNN reported that a staff member at Heathrow Airport opened the A4-sized yellow paper bag and the package suddenly caught fire, but did not cause any injuries.
According to the Irish police, which is assisting the London Police Department in investigation, at least two packages contain Republic of Ireland stamps. Sources said that although people believe the packages were sent from Ireland, investigators are not in a hurry to draw conclusions. Police also believe that the person who sent the package had no motive for murder.
