What is the 2016 Global Finals?
2016 League of Legends Global Finals, collectively known as the Global Finals. It is a five-week international esports event participated by 16 top teams.
The host regions of the global finals in previous years have been different. And this year, the competition will be held in North America.
Which teams are competing in the global finals?
The following will describe in detail the competition areas, teams participating in the 2016 Global Finals, and the number of places in each competition:
● North American LCS Division - NA League Championship Series (NA LCS) - 3 teams
● European LCS Division - EU League Championship Series (EU LCS) - 3 teams
● LCK Division - League of Legends Championships Korea(LCK) - 3 Teams
● LPL zone - League of Legends Professional League (LPL) - 3 teams
● LMS region - League of Legends Master Series (LMS) - 2 teams
● Wild card zone determined by the International Wild Card Qualification Tournament (IWCQ) - 2 teams
0 Top teams from the LCK zone, LPL zone, LMS zone, North American LCS zone and European LCS zone will directly receive the invitation to the 2016 Global Finals, while teams in the Wild Card Qualification Tournament need to qualify through the International Wild Card Qualification Tournament.

competition?
In addition to its glorious international reputation, the participating teams will also compete for the title of the 2016 Global Finals, the Summoner Cup , and a prize pool of more than $2,000,000. The participating teams will receive corresponding bonuses based on their final ranking of the competition.

What is the competition system of the global finals?
Global Finals are divided into two stages: the group stage is first, followed by the knockout stage.
In the group stage, 16 teams will be divided into four groups, each of which consists of four teams. They will use double round-robin to play a single win-loss match. In other words, each team must play two games with other teams in their group. Please use our introduction to group draws [1] to learn more about how we decide the opponents of each team during the group stage.
If you want to know which group your favorite team has been assigned to, please watch the group lottery ceremony at at 2 am Beijing time on September 11.
After the group stage, eight teams will advance to the knockout stage, and the competition system will become the Bo5 single-elimination system. The team that wins the final victory in the knockout stage will win the 2016 Global Finals. When will the global finals start? How do I watch it?
