The International Athletics Federation Manual stipulates that the total length of the standard semicircle track and field stadium is 400 meters, consisting of two straights and two curves. Currently, international and domestic track and field competitions usually use the following specifications of track and field.

(I) Inner protrusion along a track and field field with a radius of 36 meters

One section of the lane is calculated to be 36.30 meters, one section of the lane is calculated to be 114.04 meters long, and two curves are calculated to be 228.08 meters long. One straight section is 85.96 meters long, two straight sections are 171.92 meters long, and one branch and one circle calculates the length of the line to be 400 meters. (II) inner protrusion along the track and field field with a design radius of 37.898 meters

2. Basic structure of track and field sports field

A standard track and field field generally consists of three parts: outfield, midfield and infield.

Outfield: The space occupied by the outside of the track track. These four dividing lines serve as the baseline for measuring the runway, and their positions should be marked with obvious marks on the runway. 3. Flatness pass rate: The leveling completion rate of plastic runway shall not be less than 85%. In any direction and position, the measurement distance of 4 meters shall not exceed 6 mm, and the measurement distance of 1 meter shall not exceed 3 mm.

4. Thickness: The thickness of the plastic track used in is not less than 13 mm, and the thickness of any area is not less than 10 mm. The area with a thickness between 10 and 10.5 mm cannot exceed 5% of the total area. The thickness of the area under pressure (pole vault, javelin throwing, triple jump track, triple jump start area, pool) must reach 25 mm, and this area cannot be calculated as the average. The thickness of the synthetic material surface should not be less than 10 mm in any area for major competitions.

5. Slope: The horizontal slope of the plastic runway shall not exceed 1:100, and the longitudinal slope shall not exceed 1:1000.
