Fundo is a new service incubated by Google's Area 120, aiming to help creators easily host a virtual ticket-based meeting. Last summer, Fundo had been conducting limited tests for some time, attracting hundreds of “trusted testers” during this period. From now on, this service is officially open to everyone.

Fundo was originally similar to a virtual photo booth, allowing fans to queue up online, and then have a brief conversation with celebrities or creators and take photos. The entire process is not much different from the offline meeting.

To simplify the creator's virtual meeting experience, Fundo helped complete behind-the-scenes streaming, reward payments, and hosting. Of course, Google will charge a 20% "service fee" in the process.

As COVID-19 continues to prevail around the world, many creators have been forced to spend more time online activities, and have even opened up extensions such as fitness, cooking tutorials and workshops.

Interested friends can complete the required operations in the Fundo video chat system customized based on the website.

Compared with other large cloud video services, Fundo seems to focus on the experience of small circles (only 30 users can be displayed on the same screen), rather than digital seminars or online virtual concerts that often cost hundreds or thousands of people.
