Following Fenghua Xikou Wuling Park, another large park in Xikou Jiancheng District - Wushan Park is officially open to the public for free during the National Day holiday. Local residents have added "big oxygen bar" for hiking, fitness, and leisure tours.
In order to improve the quality of the city and accelerate the construction of cultural and leisure infrastructure in the urban construction area, at the beginning of this year, Xikou Town proposed to transform the main city center and the originally closed-door Ma'anshan to build a citizen's leisure and landscape park. Subsequently, with the promotion of relevant departments, the planning and design were quickly completed and construction began to be implemented at the end of April.
Deputy Mayor of Xikou Town Shen Meng: The total investment of this Wuling Park is about 7 million yuan. We started construction at the end of April this year. It can basically be completed by October this year. It will be officially opened to the people of our town on October 5. The entire project includes 2.3 kilometers of walking trails, 2 pavilions, 7 landscape platforms, and various pipelines. The main project has been basically completed, and some additional projects such as greening are still being vigorously improved.
Deputy Mayor of Xikou Town, responsible for the construction of the park, said that Wushan Park is divided into two entrances, north and south, with the main entrance in Yinfeng Square in the north, and the other end is connected to Wuling Square, the tourism distribution center under construction in the town. The general principle is to build the park on the basis of not destroying the original ecology of Ma'anshan, to meet the needs of residents and tourists in the jurisdiction for leisure and recreation and sightseeing, and at the same time create the first "forest fitness park" in Xikou City.
