Zhang Daqian

In October 1938, Zhang Daqian climbed Qingcheng Mountain for the first time. From then on, Zhang Daqian, a famous Chinese painting master who is known as the "largest painter in the contemporary world", has formed a fate with Qingcheng Mountain for more than half a century, becoming a good story in the history of Chinese culture.

Zhang Daqian was in the stage of his youth, strong energy, the most diligent brushwork, the most creative, and the more poetry and painting. The profound Taoist culture and the quiet and ethereal beauty brought him infinite creative inspiration.

During the four years he lived in Qingcheng Mountain, Zhang Daqian created thousands of works, including "Father-in-law's Peak After the Rain", "High Earth", "Picture of Zhang Tianshi", "Picture of Qingcheng Jade Crow", "Molou", "Picture of Magu", "Picture of Magu", "Picture of Red Leaf Bird", "Picture of Jade Girl", and accepted three disciples of Ding Mingxiu, Long Guoping and Hu Li.

Qingcheng Mountain has also become an important station for Zhang Daqian to climb the peak of his artistic life, and it is also the soul of his artistic life, and he cannot be separated for his whole life.

Xu Beihong

In July 1943, Xu Beihong led all the researchers of Chinese Academy of Fine Arts to overcome many difficulties along the way and came to Qingcheng Mountain to sketch.

It was the hot summer season at that time. The boundless forests, gurgling springs and strict Taoist temples of Qingcheng Mountain gave him and his disciples great creative inspiration. Shangqing Palace became a good place for them to sketch and paint.

Chinese paintings such as "Yunzhongjun" and "Confucius Lectures" and oil paintings such as "The Great Ginkgo Tree" and "The Daozhong of Qingcheng" are all the ink treasures left by Xu Beihong here back then.

Huang Binhong

In the spring of 1933, 70-year-old Huang Binhong came to Qingcheng Mountain alone, where he realized the "rule" of reform - "rain hitting the wall".

At that time, Huang Binhong encountered rain on the way to Qingcheng, and passers-by were escaping the road, but Huang Binhong continued to move forward and picked a rock to "sit in the rain to see the scenery." I have to go back to the hostel, "I'm sleeping in a deep sleep." The next day, he drew more than ten "Qingcheng Misty Rain Book" in one breath, vividly depicting the misty and rainy and green mountains of Qingcheng to the fullest.

After that, he called his landscape "rain hitting the wall". The so-called rainfall on the wall originally refers to the horse head wall on Anhui houses eroded by wind and rain, which has accumulated over time and left many traces of leakage. From a distance, it looks very similar to the effect of ink staining on white paper.

"Picture of sitting in the mountains of Qingcheng" is Huang Binhong's best annotation on "rain hitting the wall". This picture is almost purely sketched, and compared with Huang Binhong's other "Rain Mountain Pictures" that are unrestrained ink, there is not much ink. But it is true that "rain hits the wall", dry and moist, moist and bone-like; the green flowers blend into the light ink to describe the rain, mist and water, and the fresh breath seems to overflow the picture.

Lu Yanshao

Lu Yanshao visited Qingcheng Mountain for two lifetimes, with cliffs floating on rocks, clouds covered with fog, and the spectacular and beautiful scenery left a deep impression on him.

According to "Lu Yanshao's Self-Disclaimer", he visited Qingcheng Mountain in 1939 and 1984, accumulating materials along the way and making great gains. Since then, many excellent landscape works have been painted with Qingcheng Mountain as the theme.

This "Qingcheng Mountain Color" is his mature masterpiece of "Lu's Landscape" style. It has the broad spirit of flowing clouds and water, and can transcend beyond objects, which seems to bring the viewer back to a state of satisfactory literati painting .

He Haixia

He Haixia once went deep into Shu with his teacher Zhang Daqian in 1946, and appreciated the local landscape and scenery. He Haixia was unique in the secludedness of Qingcheng Mountain and created many unique works.

"Autumn in Qingcheng" is one of He Haixia's excellent landscape paintings. This painting adopts the painting style of Zhang Daqian and Huang Binhong. It is rough and majestic, with gorgeous ink, vigorous brushwork, and steady layout. It uses lyrical tone to depict the ethereal peaks and tranquility of Qingcheng Mountain in late autumn, with a vigorous momentum.

The green mountains stand tall in the painting, piercing the sky. The trees are lush, and the gurgling stream flows down the mountain. It seems to have the poetic meaning of "The graceful wild cranes fly like dancing, and the rising rock flowers cannot smile". It deeply arouses people's infinite love and awe for the mountains and rivers of the motherland.
