Central Meteorological Observatory announced that the 20th typhoon "Asani" (English name: Atsani; name source: Thailand; name meaning: lightning) was generated last night in the northwest Pacific Ocean.
At 5 am this morning, its center is about 2840 kilometers eastward from Manila, Philippines. The maximum wind force near the center is 8 levels (18 meters/s). It is expected that "Aishani" will move northwestward at a speed of about 30 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will gradually increase.
At the same time, the 19th Typhoon of this year, " Swan " has been strengthened to a strong typhoon level at 5 o'clock today (October 30). The center is located at 5 o'clock in the morning about 1,300 kilometers eastward in Manila, Philippines, which is 16.4 degrees north latitude and 133.0 degrees east longitude. The maximum wind force near the center is 14 level (45 meters/sec).
It is expected that the "swan" will move southwestward at a speed of 15-20 kilometers per hour, towards the ocean east of the Philippines Luzon Island , and its intensity will be strengthened. The strongest can reach super typhoon (level 16-17, 55-60 meters/second), and will pass through the Philippines on November 2, and then enter the South China Sea waters of my country, which will have no impact on my country's offshore in the next three days.

How is the typhoon named?
Municipal Meteorological Service Center said that typhoons are selected by 10 names in each of 14 countries and regions to recycle, and some typhoons that cause severe disasters may be removed. Currently, the 10 names provided by mainland China are sea anemone, jade rabbit, wind god, cuckoo, mulan, Wukong, white deer, sea god, electric mother, and crabapple. Among them, "Mulan" replaced the expelled "sea horse", and "white deer" replaced the expelled " Haiyan ". At present, since "Yutu" has also been removed from the list, the Central Meteorological Observatory will also select a name to replace him!

Tropical cyclone level:
1. Principles of tropical cyclone rating
0 The division of tropical cyclone rating is based on the maximum average wind speed near its bottom center.
2. Tropical cyclone level division
Tropical cyclone is divided into six levels: tropical low pressure , tropical storm , strong tropical storm, typhoon, strong typhoon and super typhoon.
The maximum average wind speed near the center of the tropical cyclone has reached 10.8m/s~17.1m/s (wind force level 6 to 7) is a tropical low pressure
reaches 17.2 m/s ~24.4 m/s (wind force level 8 to 9) is a tropical storm
reaches 24.5 m/s ~32.6 m/s (wind force level 10 to 11) is a strong tropical storm
reaches 32.7 m/s ~41.4 m/s (wind force level 12 to 13) is a typhoon
reaches 41.5 m/s ~50.9 m/s (wind force level 14 to 15) is a strong typhoon
reaches or greater than 51.0 m/s (wind force level 16 or above) is a super typhoon
