iPhone 14 is the best iPhone
iPhone 14 is now the best new "small" iPhone in Apple's lineup, because Apple has abandoned the mini for the new iPhone 14 Plus. So if you want a one-handed iPhone, then that's what the normal 6.1-inch iPhone is. The design of
iPhone 14 is not what I say is new. It's basically a replica of the iPhone 13 with notches.
Aluminum and glass body are solid and quite attractive - you get the same tough ceramic shield front and tough glass back, as well as IP68 waterproofing. But when you see the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro, you may be jealous, which replaces the bangs with smaller interactive cutouts for alerts and real-time activities.
iPhone 14 The colors are fog, starlight, blue, purple and red. But I personally think Yuanfeng Blue is the best looking, the iPhone 13 Pro series is blue and gray, while the iPhone 14 blue is pink. Which color do you think looks the best?
iPhone 14 remains compact and quite lightweight, measuring 5.78 x 2.82 x 0.31 inches. This is actually a little lighter than the iPhone 13, although the model's 0.30-inch is slightly thinner. The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display for
iPhone 14 remains one of the best screens in this price range in terms of quality, although not upgraded compared to last year. The biggest missing feature is the 120Hz refresh rate offered by the Samsung Galaxy S22, so you can't get the same super smooth scrolling or animation effects in supported games.
Still, I love watching the Color trailer for Cobra Kai Season 5 on the iPhone 14 panel as it provides bright colors and a wide view. Viewing photos on iPhone 14 is also a treat, as I can recognize the drops of water on the petals.
iPhone 14 records 117.4% of the sRGB color gamut and 83.1% of the higher demanding DCI-P3 color space. The Galaxy S22 hit 110% and 77.9% in the same tests in Natural Mode, but reached a higher 210.4/149.1% in Vivid Mode. The Delta-E accuracy score of
iPhone 14 Pro is as high as 0.25 (where 0 represents perfection), but the Galaxy S22 scores even higher at 0.22.
iPhone 14 main camera doesn't reach 48MP like the iPhone 14 Pro series, but it does come with an enhanced camera in its own way. The 12MP main camera has a larger sensor than the iPhone 13, with 1.9 micron pixels and a faster f/1.7 aperture. Therefore, you should expect better action lenses and low-light performance.
iPhone 14 also comes with an ultra-wide-angle camera that can capture more than 4 times the scene and provide 2 times better low-light performance. TrueDepth cameras offer autofocus for the first time and faster f/1.9 aperture. To help capture brighter images in full, there is a new computational photography feature called the Photon Engine.
iPhone 14 chips appear at the same time. It's the A15 Bionic from last year's iPhone 13 Pro, so you can slightly improve graphics performance with its 5-core GPU.
For most people, the iPhone 14 is the best iPhone, but despite that, it's not that exciting. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max received the biggest upgrades this year, including a constant-lit display, a clever notch replacement and a 48MP main camera. What do you think of the iPhone 14?
