The reporter learned from the competition organizing committee on the 29th that the favorites to win the championship, the U.S. men and women's national teams, the French women's team, the Dominican women's team, the Hungarian women's team, etc. have arrived in Lanzhou. The French team conducted adaptive training in the indoor stadium of the Sports Park on the day of arrival.
It is understood that in June 2017, International Olympic Committee announced that three-person basketball became the official competition event of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In the past two years, three-person basketball has developed rapidly under the promotion of the FIBA. The Chinese Basketball Association has promoted three-person basketball in China since 2013 and has achieved phased results. In June 2019, Chinese women's basketball won the three-person basketball World Cup championship, and the men's basketball team won the third place in the Asian Cup. The international points ranking of the Chinese men's and women's team has been stable in the top three in the world, laying the foundation for the Chinese three-person basketball men's and women's team to directly obtain 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualification.
