Hong Shuai, secretary of the Party branch and director of the village committee of Weitou Village, said that the water supply project previously involved many Weitou fishermen's aquaculture areas, but everyone supports this project and regards the affairs of the villagers in Kinmen as their own. Now, 137 brides in Weitou Village have been married to Kinmen. Over the years, many Kinmen girls have also married Weitou. They have witnessed the development of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and become the best bridge for emotional exchanges between Weitou and Kinmen.
Hong Shui said that on the first anniversary of the water supply of , Weitou Village will gather Kinmen compatriots who are employed and started businesses in the village, so that they can communicate more with each other and explore the integrated development of Fujian and Taiwan rural areas.
"It's very happy, the meaning is very special." Hong Axiong, who lives in Kinmen, happened to bring his wife Shi Qingqing to Weitou Village. At the symposium, he happily said that they had just visited the Fujian water supply commemorative wine sculpture engraved on "One family on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and Drink One River" in , which felt very memorable.
Hongshui introduced that the landscape wine bottle of "Memorial Wine on Cross-Straits of Water" is built by Kinmen Winery ( Xiamen ) Trading Co., Ltd., mainly to witness "one family on both sides of the Taiwan Strait", enhance the localization recognition and popularity of the "Kinmen Sorghum Wine" brand, and promote the first development of Jinjiang Kinmen tourism integration. In the future, it will become another meaningful attraction in Weitou Village.
It is reported that the commemorative wine sculpture is located at the watchtower entrance platform in Moon Bay, Weitou Village, covering an area of 30 square meters. The width of the bottle mouth is about 0.37 meters, the width of the bottom is about 0.76 meters, and the height of the bottle body is about 3.5 meters.
