So, I directly purchased a 2TB 7mm laptop hard drive from JD.com and inserted it into it, but it couldn't be recognized. After asking the engineer, I learned that the formatting process needed before inserting the new hard drive. So I could only connect the hard disk to the hard disk box, format it quickly, and insert it into the center speaker again, and there was no problem.
Because the Star Ring Smart Echo Wall (Sbar) has a slender figure, in order not to leave too much space, it has also become the area where the tag is located. From the above, it can be seen that the Star Ring Smart Echo Wall (Sbar) supports Dolby sound effects and DTS specification sound effects. The charging interface part has also been concave, which must have taken into account the wall mount requirements of the mid-mounted speakers, and the reserved space can shorten the distance between the box and the wall.

2. Starring Intelligent Audio (Sbox)
The second thing to introduce is Starring Intelligent Audio (Sbox). As an important carrier of multi-channel theaters - surround sound, it determines the background sound changes outside the main channel, sound field perception, etc. Good quality is definitely the icing on the cake, and inferior quality may be the result of the firewood. Fortunately, Starring Smart Audio (Sbox) is considered the former.
In terms of shape, Starring Smart Audio (Sbox) adopts a cylindrical structure, which is similar to most Bluetooth speakers on the market. It is also the only one in the entire Starring Smart Home Theater that can work off the power cord.

3. Star Ring Wireless Subwoofer (Stank)
Star Ring Wireless Subwoofer (Stank) is the last link of Star Ring Smart Home Theater. Because of the existence of subwoofer, the low-frequency part in the audio can be restored more accurately. If it is missing, it will give people a lack of strength and energy.
Star Ring Wireless Subwoofer (Stank) has two specifications: 6.5-inch and 10-inch. I got it from the 6.5-inch low-end version. The product size is controlled at 253mm (length) × 253mm (width) × 312mm (height), which looks a bit like a small stool.
Starring Wireless Subwoofer (Stank) is designed to use an MDF plant fiberboard box, which mainly covers the sides of the box, and is filled with high-density synthetic resin inside, which can effectively reduce tremor.
In the audio parameters, the frequency response bits are 50-200Hz, the distortion rate is 2‰, the sensitivity is 105dB, and the impedance is 4Ω. A white logo light is designed on the top to show the power-on and pairing status of Stank, and there are no other buttons.
Its speaker unit can be seen at the bottom of the Starring Wireless Subwoofer (Stank): 6.5-inch compact paper cone low frequency unit + inverted phase hole. The presence of the inverted hole can superimpose sound waves and increase the radiation energy of the bass through in-phase radiation. 4. Starring voice remote control
The last component introduced is Starring voice remote control. First of all, from the perspective of styling, this remote control is relatively simple. The keys they have include the direction key, the power key, the input source key, the return key, the voice key, the setting key, the home page building, the volume +- key. The back of the star ring voice remote control is a battery compartment, and two No. 7 batteries are used. From the back view, you can also see the transmitter-like shape, but in fact, the star ring voice remote control realizes communication control through Bluetooth technology.
As a home theater, Starloop home theater has two forms, 3.1MAX channel and 5.1 channel. Due to the limited shooting conditions, I first made a picture to let everyone feel the difference intuitively.

The cooperation between Star Ring System and Tencent is increasing. Especially in the picture below, surround sound resources have been added recently, and it is said that Dolby zone will be added in the future.
Movie Zone is mainly the resource zone of Tencent Video. The movie is presented in the form of a card, and clicking and playing is relatively convenient.
TV series area mainly covers the most popular on-the-spot TV series, such as "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace".
Of course, for consumers who like to chase stars, the variety show section may be more suitable for them.

Finally, there is an application partition on the main interface. However, when I was talking to the engineers, they did not open the application store yet. However, because the Starring system is based on the Android system, it can support the APK file you downloaded and installed by yourself. For example, I downloaded the Dangbei Market through the USB flash drive and installed it into the system.
◇【Personal Center】: is in the personal center of the home page, covering functions such as personal information management and audio settings. The area in the upper right corner has opened a member area. Now Star Ring members and Tencent Video members have been integrated. In terms of setting the

In my application interface, you can see all the currently installed applications, such as browser, NewTV Aurora, Wifi, voice assistant, national karaoke, game hall, etc.
◇【Settings】: Next is the setting aspect. You can see that wifi, Bluetooth, images and sound, and file management are all listed separately, which helps to quickly set up.
Due to the good single column in the previous section, there are not too many important options in the system settings and do not need to be opened frequently. The menu logic of
WiFi mainly provides the Starring system with a second way to connect to the network to avoid wired networks being unable to access.

In the Bluetooth setting, the transmitting ends of Bluetooth such as TV sets, mobile phones, computers, etc. can be connected to the star ring system, but the receivers such as Bluetooth speakers cannot be recognized. This Bluetooth mechanism is very similar to a Bluetooth speaker, and can only receive and cannot transmit.

Because there are currently a large number of resources on the market that do not have DTS or Dolby's sound effects, the virtual 5.1 channel can be supplemented to a certain extent.

My TV Xiaomi TV 4A 65-inch does not provide a 3.5mm audio output interface, only fiber optic interface and HDMI (ARC). Now there are so many, so it is better to use an integrated HDMI interface.
To realize ARC audio output, you also need to set the output mode to HDMI (ARC) on your computer. Only when both the TV and the Star Ring system are set to ARC input/output functions can you do it.However, what is more painful is that after the Star Ring system restarts the device, the output function will be reset, so you need to turn on the Star Ring system again, turn on ARC, return to the TV system and then realize audio output. I have already reported this issue to the product manager, and I believe that this issue will be focused on solving it in subsequent firmware updates.
The pairing function of the figure below is the unique wireless audio transmission pairing technology of the Star Ring system, which gradually realizes the combination of channels through one pairing. After pairing, it can be automatically recognized after turning on the device every time, without the need to operate again.
◇【File Management】: The file management function of the Starring system can display the current system's own storage space, inserted hard disk (new volume), wireless storage space, and NAS.
In file management, it can be classified according to the type of file such as music, video, photos, and applications.
I also specially downloaded the DTS5.1 music file from the music forum to play it. However, this file management system has not yet implemented
◇【Music Playback】: The interface of playback is as follows, the player in the center, and the playlist on the right. What is more regrettable is that the background music cannot be played. I also communicated with the product manager here, hoping to improve the functions.
◇【Video Play】: The video playback interface is shown in the figure below. I tested the DTS resource of "Pulse of the Earth 2" played. The playback progress can be adjusted below the playback interface.
Because my "Pulse Planet 2" is not well integrated, you can choose to search online or load subtitles through the remote control option.
However, subtitles need to be placed in the same folder because I downloaded a bunch of subtitles and I have been picking them up for a long time.
In addition to subtitles, audio tracks are also available for adjustment, because some videos will provide multiple audio tracks, such as Chinese and English, and switching between two channels and DTS and Dolby channels.
Finally, the video player also provides 3D to 2D function, but it is generally not used.
◇【Mobile APP】: In addition to the remote control, Starring Smart Home Cinema also provides support for mobile APP. Starring remote control can be downloaded in the application store.
You can also see the special area resources of audio and video and application in the mobile APP interface. After clicking, the Star Ring system will play.
The setting interface of the Star Ring remote control is the binding of the TV account, advanced tuning, etc. It is worth mentioning Star Ring Intelligence. When we were offline experience store, the project manager showed us the linkage between the Star Ring system and smart home, such as curtains, light bulbs and other switches, which can also be realized through voice operation.
The last star ring remote control can simulate the functions of the remote control and can also realize advanced tuning in the star ring system. I won’t expand it here.

1. Audio

(2) Unicorn Show - Virtual 5.1 Channel Next is "Unicorn Show" with 2.0 original channel, I played it with the virtual 5.1 channel of Star Ring Smart Cinema. Judging from the video effect, it is difficult to compare with the native 5.1 channel effect. However, the effect of sounding at the same time is richer than that of 2.1 channels. At least in terms of the surround effect, it makes people feel immersive. The strength lies in the ductility of the vocals, but the weakness is that the background music is more chaotic.
2. Video
(1) Concert: " California Hotel " - DTS 5.1 channel
Next test video, the first one was the live version recording of the California band concert that year, DTS 5.1 channel! A perfect video. I recorded the most classic "Hotel in California", and the effect was stained. The background music at the opening, the vocals and applause from the left and right channels were transmitted through the surround sound of the Star Ring Smart Home Cinema. The whole song was listened to by people. The guitar, drum beats and vocals in the background all have a very excellent sense of positioning, with a wide sound field, as if it is really on the scene. After that, I listened to it twice before switching to the video.
(2) TV series: " Story of Yanxi Palace " - Virtual 5.1 channel (ARC) Then, I tested the popular "Story of Yanxi Palace" some time ago. The TV series that was originally only played in 2.0 channels was projected to Xiaomi's TV system through iQiyi APP, and then used HDMI (ARC) to output virtual 5.1 channels with Star Ring Home Cinema. The background music is much more sensational. Especially in the finale, Empress Xian, starring Charmaine Sheh, , performed in the whole show, pushing the plot to a climax, which is a classic. Therefore, good dramas also require good equipment to watch them to be enjoyable.
(3) Movie: " Avengers 3" 4K—Dolby Sound Effects "Avengers 3" 4K version has dozens of G, I downloaded one of the clips for display. As a result, the first time I played it, I found that the sound track was not selected correctly, so I could make it sound after selecting Dolby sound effects. In terms of video effects, the sound performance is better than that of video. Maybe it's because the scene is too dark and Xiaomi TV 4A does not support HDR.
(4) Movie: "Upgrade" - Virtual 5.1 Channel Movie "Upgrade" is just recently launched. The resource I can find is the 720P dual-channel version, using the virtual 5.1 channel of Star Ring Smart Cinema. Personally, I feel that the performance is average. Thanks to the multi-channel effect,
(5) Movie: "End's Game" - Surround Channel Movie "End's Game" is a source of the surround sound area of the home page of the Star Ring System. This film resource has huge investment back then and it was also a gathering of stars. Unfortunately, the final profit is not good. Judging from the effects of the video alone, the 65-inch TV with Starring Smart Home Cinema can provide good audio and video effects.
(6) Animation: "Godzilla: The Decisive Battle with the Mobile Breeding City" - 3.1MAX Channel , and then there is anime, which is also the recently released "Godzilla: The Decisive Battle with the Mobile Breeding City". After watching the first part, I was still full of expectations for this sequel. I didn't expect the plot to be a bit disappointing, and I might have to rely on the third part to pull it back. But the plot effect is still worthy of praise. Under the 3.1MAX channel, the left and right channels of the original Sbar will be separated to Sbox, which will bring better presentation. Although there is no sense of surround, the intensity of the battle process can still be conveyed well to the audience through the front-end 3.1MAX channel.
(7) Documentary: "Pulse Planet 2" - DTS 5.1 channel
Documentary often has better audio and visual records than ordinary movies, so I chose the DTS soundtrack version of "Pulse Planet 2". The capacity of a single episode is around 10G, which can be said to be very luxurious.
I chose the more intense fighting and survival scenes in the first episode of Islands. Judging from the video playback effect, Xiaomi TV 4A 65-inch TV is combined with Starring Smart Home Cinema. The delicate picture expression and shocking sound effect expression make people feel that this is the best presentation effect that a high-quality documentary can achieve.
After the detailed test of this article, I believe that all children's shoes have a detailed understanding of Starring Smart Home Cinema. Here I will sort out the advantages and disadvantages of this audio and video system.
111. Product advantages
1. In terms of appearance design, Starring Smart Home Cinema integrates Starring Smart Echo Wall (Sbar) as a mid-range speaker, Starring Smart Audio (Sbox) as a surround sound, and Starring Wireless Subwoofer (Stank), which can basically achieve 5.1 channel construction.

This is quite refreshing for families without pre-wiring, a home theater built with wireless audio technology is not disturbed by many wires. At the same time, pairing and calibration between multiple audio devices is also quite convenient.
3. In terms of audio functions, Starring Smart Home Cinema first integrates decoding + amplifier, without adding front-end devices. Secondly, the device supports DTS and Dolby sound effects, which has huge sound effects for native high-quality audio or video. In addition, Starring Smart Home Cinema has also designed a dual-channel surround 5.1 channel function. Although the effect is not as native, it has more separation and immersion than the original effect. Finally, Starring Smart Home Cinema supports inputs in multiple audio formats, such as native, AUX, fiber, Bluetooth, and ARC. In addition to the main output, it can also accept audio input from TV, computer, game console, and mobile phones.
4. Starring Smart Home Cinema has built-in UI interface with Android as the core on the system. Starring System cooperates with Tencent to integrate video, audio, TV series, variety shows, games and other functions. On the basis of having a membership, it can play more abundant film and television content such as surround sound movies. In addition, the system can manage external hard disks, NAS and other storage devices, play audio and videos, load subtitles, etc.
5. Starring Smart Home Cinema has made a significant improvement in audio and video performance compared to Xiaomi TV 4A's thin and powerless audio experience. The original sound effects are abnormally chaotic, the resolution is extremely limited, the sound field is not wide enough, the three-frequency frequency is relatively disordered, and the volume is still relatively low. After changing to Starring Smart Home Cinema, the three frequencies belong to different sound units, which significantly improves the audio separation degree; secondly, with the support of DTS/Dolby/virtual 5.1 channels, the user is given a better sense of immersion and surround effect, and the sound field has also been greatly expanded, making people feel as if they are in the scene. Finally, in terms of volume, it can be as big as a bell or as small as a small mosquito, so don't bother the people.
2. The product is insufficient
1. Starring Smart Home Cinema cannot turn off its automatic sleep function on the connection of Starring Smart Audio (Sbox). It needs to restart the surround sound every time, while Starring Subwoofer (Stank) can remain dormant. The Starring Smart Echo Wall (Sbar) is connected as soon as it is powered on, and I hope it can be improved in the firmware in the later stage.
2. The system functions of the Star Ring Intelligent Echo Wall (Sbar) need to be improved in the following aspects: the lack of basic operations such as deletion, copying, pasting, cutting, and renaming in file management, the NAS function has not yet been implemented yet, the audio output (ARC) after the system restart needs to be reset, Tencent’s member interface portal is relatively hidden, the application store has not been launched yet, and the music background playback function has not been implemented, etc. Fortunately, these functions can be compensated by the firmware upgrade.
3. The voice recognition function and search logic of the Star Ring system need to be improved. First of all, the voice function adopts keyword triggering. If you encounter advanced voice commands such as route planning and shopping guidance, it will not be recognized. In terms of search logic, for example, after I want to listen to music or watch movies to recognize specific people and works, the content displayed may be different each time and is not comprehensive enough. After all, Star Ring hopes to be in line with smart homes, so it hopes to improve intelligence and retrieval accuracy in future speech recognition.
4. The mobile APP of Starring System does not have a strong presence. The reason is that on the one hand, the remote control can already achieve all operations, and the mobile APP is not a necessity. I personally think it is because there are few resources on the APP, and the Star Ring system is still unable to operate independently through mobile phones or APPs without the TV. I hope Starring can consider adding a display screen to the mid-speaker in the later stage, or optimizing the operating logic and adding the functions of the mobile APP. This way, you can play music directly without turning on the TV.
