I believe many people's impression of the MG brand is still on models such as Ruiteng, Ruixing and second-generation MG 6. The existing products ZS and HS have also been on the market for many years, but they still haven't had much splash. Faced with new competitors every few days, it's time for MG to make a change.

From MG5, MG 6 PRO to MG's pilot, and to today's MG ONE, MG intends to use a brand new product line to get rid of the phenomena of low recognition of past models and poor product experience.

In other words, the existing new products are a strategic reconstruction, and MG ONE has changed a bit about my understanding of the brand is still in the ZS and HS generations.

The power is hysteresis, the gear shift logic is chastic, the chassis shock filtering effect is poor, and the sound insulation is not satisfactory. After passing through large undulating roads, the suspension is very willful, and the whole vehicle is not obviously thrown and jumping. The suspension will pull the entire body and allow the vehicle to drive steadily against the ground. This process can feel that the suspension is softer.

When the road surface is relatively rough, MG ONE shows too much road sense feedback. Whether it is small cracks on the road surface or road surface line trough with increased friction, the driver can feel the road surface information transmitted from the chassis. Under this road condition, the MG ONE shows good body posture control, the roll amplitude is not high during sharp corners, and the integrated sports seat has a good ergonomic design, which can wrap the driver. At this level, the suspension still shows good toughness in the support of the body.

It is worthy of recognition that the entire chassis of MG ONE has texture. It will not make you feel loose or cheap. The integrated chassis feels much better than previous products, and the noise transmitted from the window and the chassis into the car is not very high, but there is still room for improvement in wind noise suppression during high-speed cruising.

MG ONE is equipped with a top ten engines with a maximum power of 181 horsepower and a peak torque of 285 Nm. Judging from the data, it is in the top camp.

Right, MG ONE only provides two driving modes: Normal and Sport. The power response will be faster in Sport mode, and the steering wheel will turn slightly heavier. When overtaking, switching to Sport mode at any time can get better acceleration and explosive power.

After several days of experience using the car, we drove thousands of kilometers, and the road conditions were mainly mountain roads. There were many road conditions for various emergencies and sudden brakes. The accelerator control is not gentle at all in terms of driving habits, and we often use sports mode.

In this kind of car use scenario, MG ONE can actually achieve the fuel consumption of .9L/100km, while the short-distance subtotal fuel consumption can be as low as 5L+/100km. It is an excellent performance in the same SUV, which gives surprises.

The new SIGMA platform has a great improvement in the impression. Its power output is much smoother, its response is more positive, engine noise optimization, and the NVH improvement in the car are all incomparable to old products. It is a major feature of MG ONE to drive better . If compared with models such as Boyue X of the same level, MG ONE will not lose in terms of chassis texture.

purely from the perspective of consumers, the third-generation MG 6 cannot attract my attention, because the overall changes are too small with the second-generation MG 6 and ZS/HS. Although it advocates the sporty design concept and the new car is more refined, it is not subversive enough that MG models give me the inherent perception.

However, the algorithm calibration of lane centered is relatively preliminary. When the vehicle approaches or presses the lane line, the system will intervene to control and correct the vehicle back to the right, and will not continue to be centered for fine adjustment during the driving process. Therefore, the driver still has to control the steering wheel and improve his attention. As for the functions of automatic lane change when turning on the light, it is of course not available.
