According to Taiwan's "Dongsen News Cloud", National Taiwan University held a school affairs meeting on the 23rd. Principal Guan Zhongmin "takes the initiative" before the meeting began, saying that after reporting the progress of the school's work, he will actively submit an explanation report on the "one-year-long selection dispute". It was later proved that the student did quote this draft, and the real paper was not written until September, so there was no problem of plagiarism at all.
Regarding part-time jobs in mainland China, Guan Zhongmin once again emphasized that "the accusations are all false." He went to mainland China to only attend academic conferences and special lectures, did not hold any school position, nor did he guide students' papers; when he went outside the island, including going to mainland China, he asked for leave according to regulations. If he did not ask for leave during the period of public office control, he could not leave the country at all. Before being accused, he had never viewed Xiamen University or other university web pages, so he did not know that he had listed it.
Guan Zhongmin said that the Taiwan supervision agency reviewed his personal tax filing materials for about 20 years and checked them one by one, just to prove that he was "illegal". During this period, he was not a civil servant most of the time and did not fall within the scope of the exercise of "inspectional power".
