"BORN" creator FrostOcean
0FrostOcean, who just graduated from high school, is very passionate about creation. She said that her desire for creation is burning in her heart. Creation can be said to be her life. She was saved by creation when she was worried.
She said that after seeing the news of this competition on the bonus hunter website, she was very interested and decided to sign up. Since she was a workaholic, she would not rest once she drew the picture. She took about four and a half hours to complete this picture "Born-BORN". Since she had never been exposed to the theme of death in the past, she felt it was very fresh and devoted to painting it.
She said that the creation work was named "Shadow Life", mainly because when the Necromancer came up with inspiration for bones when the thought of the necromancer, combined with the concept of insect figurines, life was born from bones. When the originally living person died, the bones became nutrients and then the Necromancer was born; since the feeling of the necromancer was to be presented, the creation was cool, with blue and blue, and combined with the color of the bones, etc.
FrostOcean said that she was in night school in high school and had taken cases during the day, so she could learn social experience. She felt that creation was not limited to age, and as long as she devoted herself to creating her life, she had the opportunity to make good works. She said that on the day she announced the list of awards, she went to the prize hunter platform to check it out. She thought she had not won the prize and felt a little lonely. But she suddenly received an unfamiliar call and found out that "I've won the prize~" she didn't dare to believe it for a while, and she was very happy until she was really sure.
Gold Award can receive a prize of 15,000 yuan and "Diablo 3" mahjong group
In addition to this award-winning work, the official also shared FrostOcean's usual creations, such as the mythical character Lilith. She said that her painting style is very good. She likes to try diversified styles. For example, in the past, she mainly focused on Japanese styles, but this year she tried new styles, and she also likes to get involved in design.
As for the most impressive Blizzard drawing work, she said that she likes the main vision of "Diablo 3: The Scythe of Souls". The entire color scheme and composition give people a mysterious feeling, making people want to dig out what kind of character this is. If she has the opportunity to choose to challenge the character who created the Diablo series, FrostOcean said she hopes to be able to draw a wizard (secretist) because she personally likes magical things, and the more she jumps, the better she will be.
"Rasma Comes Again" creator Wei
Currently, Wei, who forms a Weizhen Studio with his wife, loves drawings. He has not only cooperated with many game manufacturers with roles and scenes, but also participated in covers or text illustrations of textbooks such as primary and middle school. When talking about creating the work "Rasma Again", he said that there are many narratives about Rasma in the game "Diablo", but there are not so many introductions to it. He was one of the first Nefarem . He himself had a deep impression of Nefarem. He wanted to present the feeling of Rasma leading the army of necromancers forward. When the game did not introduce so much, it gave him a lot of room for imagination to use it to create.
He said that he had come into contact with the Diablo series when he was in college. At that time, a college junior asked him to play with him, but he didn't play well and his mind was a little bit shadowed. This time, he used creation to treat the shadow in his heart, and at the same time let himself think about it. If he received a similar case, how can he make some imaginations when watching the text and have a higher originality. Wei said that when he created this work, he initially thought of presenting it in cool colors, but he also wanted to say whether it would be too simple. Since in Rasma's written narrative, Necromancer-related spells also have the ability to be related to fire, he added some fire elements to balance it at the suggestion of his wife to make the tones have a contrast between cold and warm. In fact, Nepharem also arises from the contradiction between angels and demons.
Wei said that I am really grateful to Blizzard for hosting this event. After learning that he won the award, my mother pragmatically asked how many people participated and how much the prize was (laughs). I was very happy to see my parents’ response, because this would let my parents know what they were doing. Many people who work on drawing will be worried by others whether this can be eaten as a meal, especially when they encounter a low point. This will be recognized and happy for themselves, but more importantly, let their families know that they are doing these things, "Please rest assured, we have our direction."
Wei Previously, there were also paintings mainly based on "Heroes of Fighting Formation", such as D.Va. He said that when he thought that D.Va was a character from South Korea, he thought that he wanted to draw a Korean group. When the Korean group had to have a relationship with Taiwan, he thought that the MV "TT" of the Korean group TWICE happened to be out of the box at that time, and when he thought that TT was crying, he expressed his feelings and asked the small mecha next to him to come and TT. When he created himself, he liked to stuff small elements on the screen, so that the viewers could find new things when they watched his creation the second or even the third time. In addition, he has also created Hae Ying, which is like "Fighting Array Special Attack". He thinks Hae Ying is the most attractive character in "Fighting Array Special Attack". He likes to use computer cables to design characters. He wants to draw Hae Ying to use skills and put lines to hack into other people's computers, but Hae Ying may also need to practice more before Hae Ying is proficient, but he accidentally tied up and created this picture.
Wei When talking about the Blizzard painting that impressed me the most, it was Asass on the cover of "Warcraft 3: Ice Hegemony". He felt that this Assas' expression attracted him very much and impressed him deeply; if he had the opportunity to choose to challenge the creation of the "Diablo" series by himself, Wei hoped to create it with Witch Doctor as the protagonist, because he liked the witch doctor's shape and had original Witchcraft visual elements.
"Call of Immortality" creator Jiunn Kuo
Jiunn Kuo, who just graduated from university last year and is currently a freelance worker, has loved drawings since he was a child. He said that he has loved playing games since he was a child. Because he likes game art, he decided to go into this industry when he came into contact with electric painting. This time, his friends participated in the Blizzard competition mainly because a friend told him that he felt he was suitable for participating in this competition, and Jiunn Kuo was willing to participate after hearing this. When talking about the award-winning creation "Summoning Immortal", Jiunn Kuo said that he likes subjects related to skeletons and likes to use the angle of elevation because using the angle of elevation will be very authoritative. When creating this painting "Summoning Immortality", it specifically refers to his brother's face and hair style, so when he paints, he always thinks of his brother (laughing). When he will again, he will particularly emphasize the sense of light and shadow and space. In addition, the design of the crocodile is to hope that people will feel like training skeletons.
He said that the painting of "Summoning Immortal" uses cool tones, because the cold light has a soul-sensing feeling. I originally wanted to add orange, but it seemed too happy, so I decided to focus on cool tones. Jiunn Kuo said he was happy when he received the notice and knew he had won the award, and felt like he was affirmed. If he has the opportunity to choose to challenge the characters in the "Diablo" series in the future, Jiunn Kuo said that the one he wants to draw most is Diablo, because he usually draws people, and he really wants to challenge the feeling of large monsters and big scenes.
In addition to participating in this competition, he also created the theme of "Fighting Forwards" Winston to participate in the 2016 BlizzCon competition; he said that because he rarely draws animal characters, he found a lot of information in order to draw Winston, and compared his actions to figure out how the characters attack others. Later, he wanted to say that there seemed to be no theme of Steam Punk, so he designed a shape himself, hoping to present a big fight in this creation.
When asked if there was any painting that was quite impressed by Blizzard, he said that what impressed him most was that he had seen a standing card with orcs as the theme. The hair on it was painted, which was very delicate and unforgettable.
