He visited Fudan University three times and delivered speeches, forming a deep friendship with Fudan University. Fudan University has established long-term teaching and scientific research cooperation with many top French universities and research institutions. A group of Fudan scholars have made outstanding contributions to promoting Sino-French educational exchanges and received the Palm Leaf Knight Medal issued by the French government. Fudan has a tradition of French research and cooperation in many disciplines such as linguistics, literature, history, philosophy, politics, economics, mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc., and has achieved fruitful results. Jinli expressed his sincere gratitude to the French Consulate in Shanghai for its support for the work of Fudan University. He said that China is constantly accelerating the vaccines and drugs related to the new coronavirus, and hopes that the global epidemic will end as soon as possible. As the president of Fudan University, he will spare no effort to promote academic cooperation between Fudan University and French universities, and welcome more French students to come to Fudan to exchange and study after the epidemic.
Ji Bowei: Carry out comprehensive dialogue and jointly plan for discipline development
Ji Bowei said that in recent years, French society has become more and more international, and Chinese students are more likely to integrate into the local society when they go to France for further study. Although the number of Chinese students studying in France has decreased due to the spread of the global epidemic, Chinese students are still enthusiastic about studying in Europe and France. Fudan University has strong discipline advantages. France regards Fudan University as an important university partner. French students also hope to come to Fudan University to study as soon as possible after the epidemic is over. France is willing to become a bridge for China to deepen cooperation with EU , and hopes to deepen cooperation with China in terms of population issues, environmental protection, public health, digital economy, etc. through strengthening dialogue. He believes that now the two sides should comprehensively review past cooperation achievements and discuss the subject areas that need to strengthen exchanges. After the epidemic, the two countries can resume exchanges, and quickly put consensus into action.
Ji Bowei and his party also discussed the cooperation between Fudan and French universities with Fudan scholars.
