In June 2020, after research by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Jiugang Group Corporation, it was decided to expel Zhu Weizhong from the Party and terminate his labor contract, and transfer his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law. On November 23, 2020, the Jiayuguan City Urban District People's Court sentenced Zhu Weizhong to 11 years in prison and a fine of 700,000 yuan in the first instance for the crime of accepting bribes.
