Malaysia Minister of Transportation, Lu Zhaofu, , has personally tried UnionPay card (UnionPay) with the assistance of staff to perform cashless payment operation method on Guolang Quanquan Payment all-in-one machine.

Minister of Transportation Lu Zhaofu hopes that in the future, there will be more public transportation services to provide a variety of cashless payment systems, and encourage people to use cashless methods to take buses.

He pointed out that the cashless payment system allows service operators to analyze data and grasp service usage trends, thereby strengthening services and providing consumers with dynamic prices.

He added that cashless transactions can also enable companies to improve competitiveness and efficiency, especially in the field of transportation.

"Prime Minister Tun Mahathir began to say last year that the cashless transaction system is very good for society and can combat corruption, because every transaction will be recorded."

Lu Zhaofu said this when he promoted the cashless payment system under the Airport Express Railway Company (ERL), namely KLIA Transit.

He said that Kuala Lumpur Airport Express Railway and Airport Branch Services provide a variety of cashless payment systems, which not only makes it more convenient for consumers, but also makes it convenient for foreign tourists to come to the city by taking public transportation from the airport.

"Foreign tourists may not have RM2 or local transportation cards when they come to Malaysia, but now they can use any card in their wallet to take the airport express train."

"As far as I know, the National Infrastructure Company (Prasarana) has also begun to do this. In the next few months, MRT , light rail and bus services do not need to use cash to pay."

He said that perhaps some people still think it is convenient to use cash, but for service operators, cash transactions will increase their costs.

"For example, buses and MRT companies need to pay security fees when processing these cash every day and go to the bank to record, which indirectly increases the cost."

Consumers and foreign tourists can now take the Kuala Lumpur Airport Express and Airport Branches through Boost e-wallet, Grab Pay, Mastercard (Mastercard ), Maybank, Touch n Go, UnionPay and Visa, and travel to and from the airport to and from the airport with Kuala Lumpur through cashless payment.
