I hope they retire DeMar's jersey. He didn't win the CHIp for the Raptors, but some younger nephews might not know that behind the LeThanos jokes and playoff eliminations is actually a pretty successful mini-"golden age" of Raptor basketball.

Not every team is in LA/NY/MI and the Raps is a newer franchise formed in 1995. Before the "Lowry/Derozan era" the Raptors had only gone to the playoffs 5 times and got out the 1st round once. LD got to 5 straight playoffs, 3 2nd rounds, 1 EC finals, and a franchise best 59W season.

I think there is a player who's as talented and has done as much as DeMar/Lowry for the Raps. Bosh? Jalen Rose? Vince Carter?

On the other hand, I hope that Kawhi doesn't get his jersey retired for the Spurs Even if he did help them bring a chip as FMVP. The way you leave a franchise should also matter. That guy stupidly tried burning the Spurs' reputation to the ground just to get to LA 1 year earlier.

I hope they can retire DeRozan 's jersey. Although he failed to win the championship for the Raptors, some younger brothers may not understand that what is hidden in Leronto and countless Raptors playoffs is the best basketball era in the past years.

Not every team has a long history like the Lakers and Knicks. The Raptors are a new team that entered the league in 1995. Before the Lowry /DeRozan era, the Raptors played 5 times in the playoffs, and only once reached the semi-finals of the playoffs. However, Lowry and DeRozan led the team to the playoffs 5 times, 3 second rounds, and once in the Eastern Conference finals and won the best 59 wins in team history. I think no player can do more than demar and Lowry while having talent, Bosh? Jaylen Rose ? Carter?

On the other hand, I hope Leonard will not retire his jersey with the Spurs, although he has indeed helped the Spurs win the championship and also won the FMVP in the Spurs, the way you leave the team is also watched by everyone.
