Maxiang City God Temple
According to the Qing Dynasty sacrificial records, "Whenever there is a place for local officials to live in the residence, it is necessary to build the City God Temple, Wenwu Temple , Sister's Ancestral Temple and Baosheng Emperor Temple, which are places where local officials look around and pick up incense."
Maxiang Chenghuang Temple and Wenwu Temple were built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and have a history of more than 200 years. During the Jiaqing period, the Chenghuang Temple and the Wenwu Temple were relocated to the Wolongbian in the three townships of Maxiang, and are connected with the Dragon King Palace, Fude Hall and Guanyin Hall, which is quite spectacular.
1993 Chenghuang Temple was announced as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. It was announced as a cultural relics and historical sites involving Taiwan in 2001.

Qingjutang was founded in the 33rd year of the Republic of China, that is, in 1944 AD. The founder was Malaysia Overseas Chinese Lin Zhaihua.
Ms. Lin was originally from Dongdiantou Village, Maxiangxiang. After marriage, she went abroad to Malaysia. Later, due to family changes, she converted to Buddhism and worshipped Master Guangtong, Penang Jile Temple, and was named "Lotus Fruit". In the 33rd year of the Republic of China, Lianguogu, who was nearly 70 years old, returned to her hometown Maxiang to buy land and build a hall. Although there were difficulties such as insufficient funds in the process, the "Qingju Hall" was finally completed.
1999, Qingju Hall was rebuilt, with a new inside and outside. From the outside, it is small and exquisite, and it is solemn. When you walk in, it is simple and generous. The eternal light wall in the hall can be said to be quite spectacular.
Qingju Hall is divided into two floors, with Guanyin Bodhisattva being worshipped downstairs, and Sakyamuni, the Buddha being worshipped upstairs.
In the old days, there were only nuns in the Qingju Hall, which was called "Caigu Hall" in the local dialect. Now, it is hosted by Master Shi Changru, a disciple of the old monk Houxue. There are currently three monks living there, who adhere to daily activities and are in full bloom.
