Ge Zhaolong's "Life Stage" combines the essence of Ningbo caisson craftsmanship and is a wood carving work that represents the top level of Ningbo folk craftsmanship.

Ninghai, Zhejiang is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Ancient Stage Culture". The local ancient stage structure is exquisite and the craftsmanship is exquisite, carrying the unique rural customs and cultural heritage of Ninghai .
Ge Zhaolong is a representative inheritor of Ninghai traditional stage construction skills in Ningbo Intangible Cultural Heritage. He has been engaged in the restoration, protection and construction of ancient stages and ancient buildings for more than 20 years, and has presided over the repair of more than 160 ancient stages and ancient building complexes.

"Life Stage", which took five years to create, has a width of 3.2 meters, a depth of 3.1 meters, and a table top of 0.6 meters. The construction and bracket structure integrate the length of the ancient stages of Ninghai. The wooden components and relief, round carving, openwork and other techniques are all completed by hand. The stage has 16 rows, 16 rows and 16 layers of dragons and phoenixes stacked layer by layer, circling upwards, and the dragon and phoenix tails belong to the mirror (commonly known as the dragon top), which has the effects of load bearing, closing, eliminating and amplifying sound in the building.
