2014, in view of the actual situations of Liu Mingfeng's physical disability, his mother is seriously ill, and his children go to school, he was included in the targeted poverty alleviation target. Since then, Liu Mingfeng's children received subsidies for school, and the mother's reimbursement rate for treatment is more than 90%, which basically doesn't cost much. At the same time, poverty alleviation cadres often visit homes to understand the production and living conditions of their families and publicize the party’s lines, principles and policies. Grid workers come to their homes every now and then to learn about the situation and promote poverty alleviation policies, employment information, etc.
Liu Mingfeng reshaped his confidence in life and saw the light of hope. Although reality has brought many hardships to Liu Mingfeng, he did not compromise with life, but instead worked hard to create sweetness for life.
In 2014, during the pairing and assistance visit, Yang Junsong, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the County Party Committee and chairman of the County Federation of Literary and Art Circles, wrote a calligraphy work of "disabled body and strong will" to Liu Mingfeng. He regarded it as a treasure and hung it in the most conspicuous place on the wall, saying that the letter gave him infinite strength, and although he was physically disabled, his will could not fade.
Liu Mingfeng raised pigs, but the scale was small, with five or six. He said that he would go to bed early and get up early every day, rest at nine o'clock in the evening, get up before dawn at five or six o'clock in the morning, prepare pig food, and go to the mine to work... He started a busy day, and he seemed to be full of energy when he worked.

In 2016, Liu Mingfeng intended to expand the scale of breeding. The County Federation of Literary and Art Circles supported 1,200 yuan and 1,000 yuan of cement and sand to help build the pen. During the process of building the pigpen, Liu Mingfeng did not hire a worker. He did the whole process himself except for the cover. In March 2020, Liu Mingfeng sold more than 20 fat pigs worth more than 300 kilograms. This spirit of hard work and wealth is not inferior to that of a person with healthy limbs.
Liu Mingfeng's house is a brick-concrete structure of 100 square meters safe housing. The renovation of the living environment is in full swing from 2017 to 2018. One day, grid worker Xiao Gao visited his house, and he suddenly said to Xiao Gao: "I am also preparing to repair the house."
Hearing this sentence, Xiao Gao felt a little sad and was about to explain to him that his house was not included in this renovation.
He saw Xiao Gao's worry and said with a smile: "Xiao Gao, don't be nervous. I said that I built the house myself, and the state did not need to pay for it. The Party and the government helped me get rid of poverty. Now I have the ability to build a building. I want to add two more floors to the original house."
said that it would be repaired. He borrowed 100,000 yuan from the bank and built two floors himself. The same is true. In addition to building the roof and land, he usually works alone. He also said that he could do it himself and have enough food and clothing.

Because the child goes to school in Weng'an, his wife Wu Wenhui rarely takes her children to school in Weng'an. However, Liu Mingfeng does not forget to clean up the indoor and outdoor environment of the home after he is busy every day. When he walks into his home, he feels that the home is very clean and well-organized. In November 2020, the Baishuihe Community Poverty Alleviation Working Team carried out environmental sanitation evaluation, and the working team specially sent the "mobile red flag" of the health model to his family.

Nowadays, while developing the pig farming industry, Liu Mingfeng is working in the evening, and plans to plant small leaf jujube and konjac next, so that the family will live a happy life.
