It is said that the City God worshipped in City God Temple was 1821 Tong'an County immigrants invited from Xiacheng City God Temple in Xiadian Township, Tong'an, Fujian. In the early stage, they were placed in the Jintongli Cake Shop of Bajiazhuang. In 1853, the famous "Dingxia Suburbs" (that is, the Dingxia Suburbs dominated by Jinjiang , Hui'an , and Nan'an and the lower suburbs dominated by Tong'an people had a classification fight in order to win the interests of Meng'an Pier). In the end, the Tong'an people were defeated, snatched the golden body of the City God from the fire, retreated to Dadaocheng, and placed it in Dadaocheng from then on.
