DPP spokesman Xie Peifen said that when the Central Party Department receives the case transferred by the Party and League, it will be handed over to the Central Evaluation Conference as soon as possible in accordance with the Disciplinary Review Ruling Regulations. Liu Jianguo said, "Let's deal with it, everything will be calm."
For the punishment of the green camp, the Kuomintang caucus Lin Weizhou said that the punishment this time only affects the rights and interests of the Democratic Progressive Party and does not affect the subsequent nomination, and the fine amount is also lighter than the KMT standard. "If it is the president and deputy president today, he may be expelled from the party," highlighting the internal DPP's belief that the Lai Pig policy is lacking in legitimacy.
DPP general convener Ke Jianming said yesterday that the disposal of the Party and League can be divided into two parts: one is to send the Party and League Central Committee as a reference for nomination; the other is to fine money and not select committees or serve as party and league cadres, and may be suspended due to serious circumstances. The final resolution of the Party and Catholic Conference will suspend the power of the three persons for three years, and will notify the parties to have a three-day reimbursement period; as for other party members who have not voted unanimously and have a relatively mild case, such as going to the toilet during the vote, they will be invited to the discipline team for explanation.
It is understood that yesterday, the DPP and the convener of the discipline meeting, Zhou Chunmi, had a report in advance. The party and league had no objection to the fine of 30,000 yuan and the punishment of giving it to the Party Central Committee as a reference for future nominations.
As for the suspension of the party and league power, the suspension was made for three years, which caused controversy. Some people advocated a further discussion at a later date, but were rejected; some people advocated on-site voting, but were immediately opposed, hoping that it was a consensus decision.
Some people believe that the suspension of power should be shortened to one or two years, but Ke Jianming reminded that "legislator" Yang Yao was suspended for one year after he voted in 2016; there was also a new trend in "legislator" who jumped out to support the punishment and finally decided to suspend power for three years in accordance with the regulations.
Lin Shufen expressed respect yesterday; Jiang Yongchang pointed out that the party must be disciplined and accept the party and college resolutions; Liu Jianguo said that his mood and thoughts were the same as those on the day of the "Legislative Yuan" vote, and he was allowed to deal with it and everything was calm.
According to the repost, Ke Jianming went to the Central Standing Committee of the DPP yesterday to explain the relevant procedures for punishing the "legislators" for running out of votes.
