01丨College Overview
Shandong Judicial Police Vocational College is the only police higher vocational college in Shandong Province. It was founded in 1982 and was formerly Shandong Law School. In 2006, it was upgraded to a vocational college and was promoted to a central government in 2009. The Legal Committee, the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Justice and other 15 ministries and commissions have been identified as pilot institutions for reforming the recruitment and training system of political and legal police officers. In 2016, it was approved as a pilot institution for the "3+2" counterpart training through segments and training by the Provincial Department of Education. In 2018, it was approved as a pilot institution for the "3+2" counterpart training. College has two campuses, Yanshan and Mingshui, covering an area of 550 acres. Yanshan Campus is located at the foot of Yanzi Mountain in the beautiful city of Jinan, and Mingshui Campus is located at the beautiful Jinan Zhangqiu University Park. The college has excellent school conditions and complete infrastructure. College has six teaching departments: the Department of Legal Practice, Department of Police, Department of Public Safety, Department of Police Practical Skills Teaching and Research, Department of Public Basic Teaching and Research, and Department of Continuing Education. There are more than 160 full-time teachers, 70% of them, and 30% of them are professors and associate professors.
