The court held that the two defendants used a predatory fishing tool such as a mechanical snail-suction clam boat within the Hongze Lake Wetland (provincial wetland reserve), causing devastating damage to the lake's aquatic plant and animal resources. , seriously destroying the lake's biodiversity , it will also bring eutrophication of the water body, reduce the self-purification and repair ability of the water body, and threaten the health and stability of the lake ecosystem. Experts believe that Gorgon fruit (also known as chicken head rice, chicken head rice) is an aquatic plant with economic value in fresh water.
