On May 1st, Swoop launched its inaugural flight from Hamilton, Ontario to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

The flight kicks off Swoop Airlines' expansion into Atlantic Canada and is the first of 11 maiden flights for the airline this summer.

Swoop also announced that they will add services to the following cities:

  • Moncton and Saint John, New Brunswick;
  • Deer Lake, Newfoundland and Labrador (Deer Lake) and St. John (St. John's);
  • Comox, BC;
  • London, Ontario;
  • Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The service opening dates are:

  • Moncton - May 9
  • Saint John (NB) - May 12
  • Deer Lake - May 21
  • Saint John (NL) - 6 March 13
  • Comox - June 9
  • London - June 2
  • Regina - June 16
  • Saskatoon - June 14

One-way fares on the new line are as low as $49 Canadian dollars from .

Swoop is a low-cost airline under WestJet. It was established in September 2017 and officially started flying in June 2018. Its basic ticket price is about 40% lower than WestJet.
