Tomorrow (September 19), the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday is about to begin. Do you plan to stay at home and rest, or take your family for a trip around the area? Will the weather affect your arrangements? China Weather Network has specially launched a national Mid-Autumn Festival weather map. Come and see what the weather is like where you are during this holiday.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, there are strong winds and rain in the northeast, and high temperatures are still online in the south.
According to Hu Xiao, chief meteorological analyst of China Weather Network, during the Mid-Autumn Festival this year (September 19th to 21st), the weather in western my country will mainly be sunny and good, which is suitable for holiday travel; The weather in the east is more complicated, with heavy rainfall and high temperatures coexisting.
Specifically, due to the combined influence of cold and warm air, there will be significant rainfall in the eastern part of Northwest China to the Huanghuai River in North China on the first day of the holiday. Among them, the cumulative rainfall in some areas in southern and northeastern Hebei, northern Henan, and western and northern Shandong may exceed 100 mm, which is more than the local average rainfall in September. Along with the rainfall, the temperature will also drop significantly, and the temperature in many places will hit a new low since the second half of this year. In big cities, the highest temperatures in Beijing, Shijiazhuang, and Zhengzhou will all drop below 20°C on the 19th, indicating a distinctly cooler autumn. However, starting from the 20th, the rainfall in the above-mentioned areas will gradually stop from west to east, turning into sunny and good weather, and the temperature will rise quickly. The local public is reminded that when traveling during the holiday, they should avoid the 19th and try to choose the next two days.
In the Northeast region, heavy rainfall will affect the entire holiday from south to north, and the cumulative rainfall is relatively large, which is rare for the same period in history. At the same time, due to the strengthening of surface cyclones, local winds are not small. For example, some areas of the Liaodong Peninsula will experience strong winds of magnitude 7 to 8, and gusts may reach magnitude 10. The local public should pay special attention to the possible adverse effects of strong windy weather. Maritime routes such as the Yanda route may be suspended due to weather conditions. The public is reminded to check relevant information before traveling to avoid delays.
In addition, because Yunnan is on the edge of the subtropical high pressure, rainfall is also more frequent during the holidays. Local public must take precautions against rain when traveling.
In places such as Jiangnan and southern China, due to the control of the subtropical high , the heat is still difficult to eliminate during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Among them, the high temperature range was the largest on the 19th, with high temperatures occurring in parts of Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and other places. From the 20th, the high temperature range decreased, but "autumn tigers" were still present in Guangdong, Fujian and other places. In addition, thunderstorms are also more frequent during holidays in southern China and other places. When traveling on local public holidays, you should not only prevent heatstroke and cool down, but also pay attention to thunderstorms.
Expressways will not be toll-free during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and there will be three small peaks in travel.
News from the Ministry of Transport, due to the adjacent Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, the recent epidemic in Putian, Fujian, and the normal charging of small passenger car tolls on expressways during the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is expected that during the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, public travel will mainly be short- and medium-distance visits to relatives and tourism, and the traffic pressure on the highway network around the city during peak hours is expected to be greater.
Affected by factors such as holidays and weekends, it is expected that there may be three small peaks in travel: the first small peak in off-duty travel will occur from 9:00 to 12:00 on September 18, and the second will occur from 18:00 to 20:00. Cheng Xiaofeng; The third small outbound peak occurred from 9:00 to 12:00 on September 19. Since then, the traffic has declined on September 20 and is lower than the daily value; the return traffic is expected to increase significantly from 12:00 to around 19:00 on September 21; after the holiday, the road network traffic quickly fell back to the daily level.
According to the Central Meteorological Observatory forecast, during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the G1 Beijing-Harbin Expressway , G2 Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, G3 Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, and G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway in Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi, Hubei, and Guizhou , G11 Heda Expressway, Some sections of the G12 Hunwu Expressway, G15 Shenhai Expressway, G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway, G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, G55 Erguang Expressway, G75 Lanhai Expressway and other expressways are affected by heavy rains. Some road sections are affected by heavy rains. Please pay attention to precautions. Water accumulation on roads, slippery roads, reduced visibility and secondary disasters that may be induced by heavy rainfall have adverse effects on highway traffic.
Hu Xiao reminded that during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the weather situation in eastern my country is complicated. It is best for the public to understand the upcoming forecast and warning information and take relevant preventive measures before traveling. In addition, we are still in the epidemic prevention and control stage. We should strengthen self-protection when going out, insist on wearing masks, good personal hygiene, and avoid activities in places with crowds, closed spaces, and poor ventilation.
Finally, China Weather Network wishes everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival and family reunion in advance! (Planning/Zhang Fangli Design/Zhang Li Data Support/Hu Xiao)
