Adult film star Lana Rhoades has been criticized for her non-fungible token (NFT) project called "Cryptosis" after $1.5 million in Ethereum was withdrawn from the project's wallet. The crypto withdrawal came after Rhoades told her fans that NFT would be "a profitable investment for holders," and following community disapproval, the porn star deleted her official Twitter account.

Lana Rhoades has been condemned by those in the crypto industry for her role in an NFT project called Cryptosis, which contained 6,069 NFT cartoon images of adult film stars . According to a video posted by Coffeezilla, Rhoades is accused of withdrawing large amounts of Ethereum (ETH) from the project.

claimed that Rhoades touted her NFT collection as a "lucrative investment," but confidence in the Cryptosis NFT project plummeted after the project's Discord channel quit and issued numerous statements.

Coffeezilla and others called the move a "carpet pull," a term widely used in the crypto industry to describe a project that raises a large amount of value, only to then abandon the project and take away the money originally raised of funds.

In another video, Youtuber Coffeezilla’s video description says: “Rhoades is no stranger to cryptocurrencies, she has done several tokens in the past, [as] Lana has even helped with other NFTs Projects such as Stickdix, Titscoin, and Pawgcoin.”

Rhoades was clearly upset by the accusations and posted several tweets about the Youtuber after the video was posted. The adult film star said: "Youtubers are fucking sick, a disease of the internet, they will do anything and say anything for a view." Rhodes added:

I have a 1 month old baby to give Take care, it's just that all I want to do is lie to people and get the hell out of here with this crap. Just bc a project doesn't go as planned doesn't mean there's any malicious intent behind it. Ppl is sick trying to cause trouble for the point.

As of this writing, the porn star’s official Twitter account is gone as it has been deleted. However, most of Rhoades' social media accounts on Twitter have been preserved on archive.org.

Currently, people are still buying Cryptosis NFTs, and on Opensea, the base price for Rhoades’ NFT series is 0.018 Ethereum or $50.23 USD. One specific listing is trying to get $3.1 million for Cryptosis NFT #5795.

There are many others seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Rhoades NFT. Although, these hopeful Cryptosis NFT sellers don’t seem to be selling anything at all. Cryptosis sales activity has plummeted since February 22, when the average sales price was 0.1624 Ethereum or $453.20 per Cryptosis NFT.
