I traveled alone in Japan for 15 days and took Osaka-Kamakura-Hakone-Takayama-Shirakawa-Gero-Kyoto-Nara
一. Osakaosaka
didn’t do much, just a transit. I took a little time to stroll around Kuromon Market . The market is really super clean, sashimi, the rice is a bit expensive, but the grilled scallops and crab sticks are delicious.
Recommended accommodation in Osaka:
hostel rakutsuki Luoyue Youth Hostel.
price bed room 120rmb/person.
The location is great. Downstairs is Kuromon Market, with an elevator. There are toilets and showers in the girls' room. Although the room is crowded, it is very convenient, clean and tidy. It is 700 meters away from Namba station and 700 meters away from Nipponbashi. The station is 200 meters away, and you can get off directly at Namba on the Airport Subway Express.
Fat beef rice nearby, 600 yen.
2. Kamakura kamakura
The background of Slam Dunk is close to the sea. After all, it carries the youth of our generation. I have to make a pilgrimage, although I have never seen it.
In addition, if you come here in summer, there will be beautiful hydrangeas ( hydrangea ) here, especially Hase Temple and Meigetsu-in Temple.
If you come here in autumn, you can also enjoy maple viewing in the temples here.
How to get there from Osaka:
Less transfer: Shin-Osaka Station Take the Shinkansen to Shinagawa , 2.5h, cost 14450.
Taking JR from Shinagawa to Kamakura Station takes 48 minutes and costs 640.
It’s more convenient to come from Tokyo, it only takes about an hour.
How to visit Kamakura:
Many scenic spots in Kamakura are connected by a train line. That is to say, taking this train, you can see all the scenic spots in Kamakura.
Go to Kamakura Station to buy Enoden train tickets. It is recommended to buy a one-day pass directly for 600 yen, which allows you to ride the train unlimited times in one day.
After all, transportation costs in Japan are really high. A single bus trip starts at 180. It may cost 400 to go to a tourist attraction and back in one day.
Hasedera Temple : It is famous for its courtyard temple with dry landscape.
Haseda
Haseda
Kek Lok Si : In fact, it is famous for the tram stop of Kek Lok Si. A movie was filmed here before, called "Sea Street Diary". It takes almost half an hour to walk from Hasedera Temple.
Kamakura High School Front Station:
Slam Dunk opening theme, Sakuragi Hanamichi The scene of waiting for the bus with a bag on his back is at this station.
Kamakura Kogakumae Station
Enoshima: I mainly went there to eat whitebait rice.
Kamakura is close to the sea, so you can always try seafood, and whitebait is a specialty here.
Such a set meal costs 1,680 yen.
Komachi Street : A commercial street between Kamakura Station and Tsuruoka Hachibangu Shrine.
In addition, trams often pass by on the streets of Kamakura, so some intersections are also very beautiful.
Kamakura accommodation recommendation:
Kamakura Guesthouse (kamakura guest house)
The girls’ bunk room has tatami . This is what I like. There is no need to climb up and down like bunk beds. The price is 5879 yen (375rmb) per person for 2 nights.
The house is a very flavorful Japanese-style building.
The atmosphere is very good. In the evening, everyone often gathers in the lobby on the first floor to chat.Occasionally we will organize dinner together and just pay 500 yen. The day I was there we made octopus dumplings together.
We will bake together here at night
三.Hakonehagone
Hakone is famous for its hot springs. It is one of the places where the protagonists in Lost Paradise go on a date. After soaking in the hot springs, they wrap themselves in yukata and admire Lake Ashi. They face each other sincerely and tightly. Hug each other, right here.
In addition, Izu Peninsula and Lake Fujikawaguchi can all be passed from Hakone.
Kamakura to Hakone:
Take jr from Fujisawa Station to Odawara , 35 minutes, cost 583.
Odawara-Hakone Yumoto, 15min.
In fact, it feels like Beitou, Taiwan.
How to visit Hakone:
Buy the Hakone Pass at Odawara Station. The pass is valid for two or three days. During the validity period, you can use the pass company's transportation unlimited times, including public transportation. , mountain tram, Lake Ashi cruise, and Owakudani cable car.
I directly bought the Hakone-Fuji 3-day pass for 5650, which covers the Hakone area and transportation from Hakone to Mount Fuji several major viewing lakes. It can be said to be a good deal.
After all, the round trip from Hakone Gotemba Station to Lake Kawaguchi costs 3,000.
If you don’t want to go around Mount Fuji, you can directly buy a Hakone 2-day or 3-day pass, and the price will be a little lower.
There was a girl in my roommate who didn’t buy a free travel pass. She only went to two scenic spots in one day and spent thousands of yen on public transportation.
You can ride the pirate ship on Luzhi Lake for free with your free pass.
Evening at Lake Ashi
Having afternoon tea at the cafe by the lake, looking out the window, very comfortable! I like the couple on the bench on the street.
The Hakone Shrine on the edge of Lake Ashi is also a place where many people take photos.
Hakone Shrine
An additional stop on the Hakone Tozan Railway is recommended: Tonosawa Station.
This site has the feel of a rural station in Japanese anime. There is also a money-laundering shrine. It is said that money will increase after being washed in water.
Recommended accommodation in Hakone:
hogone tent
Female bed 210rmb/person/night.
Youth Hostel is located next to Gora Station.
Gora Station is a very convenient station. You can go to Gotemba (you can transfer to Lake Kawaguchi), take the Owakudani Cable Car, or go to Hakone Yumoto directly from this station.
The girls' dormitory rooms also have tatami-style beds, so you don't have to climb up and down. There are also two hot spring pools where you can soak in the hot springs for free. You can only use them by yourself or with friends at a time. Others will not enter. In Japanese hot springs, you have to strip naked so that you don’t have to be naked in front of others. After all, you will still be shy.
The bathing area is very spacious and generally very comfortable.
Youth Hostel Building
Food recommendations:
Tiansheng Tofu Hot Pot, just near Gora Station.
Locals, foreigners, and Chinese all come to line up.
Dinner started at 17:30, but before the time, there was already a queue at the door.
The main tofu pot set meal, including orange juice and pudding, 2100 yen
Tender tofu wrapped in fried flour and stuffed with minced meat.
The taste is on the sweet side. I would give it three and a half stars out of five. The tofu tastes really good, but there may be too much mirin.
If you want to eat in Hakone, you can also go to Hakone Yumoto Station. There are many places to eat around the station. Or you can buy bento directly at Yumoto Station.
Otherwise, there are very few restaurants at scenic spots along the mountain bus or mountain train, and they are very expensive.
3. Mount Fuji Kawaguchiko kawaguchiko
Lake Kawaguchi is the most famous place to see Mount Fuji. It is also a scenic spot that I visited temporarily before departure. If the weather is good, you can see the reflection of Mount Fuji. If you have enough time and budget, you can stay there for one night and soak in the hot springs while watching Mount Fuji. If you are departing from Tokyo, you can directly sign up for a one-day tour.
If you are going to Hakone, you can first take the bus from Gora to Gotemba Station, and then take the bus from Gotemba Station to Kawaguchiko Station. This way it takes about 2 and a half hours. You can also buy some at Gotemba outlet on the way back.
The pass I bought includes this journey. When you arrive at Lake Kawaguchi, take the tour bus. You can ride the tour bus for free with your travel ticket.
I mainly chose three points to see Mount Fuji:
requires an additional ticket. You can also choose to walk up there yourself.
The name of the bus stop is rope way. (cable car), and it is not very far from Kawaguchiko Station.
Unfortunately, the clouds were very heavy that day, so I couldn’t take a picture of Mount Fuji from above.
There is a delicious biscuit shop here called fujimaya, which specializes in biscuits shaped like Mount Fuji. They have a strong milk flavor and delicious chocolate.
The white chocolate is delicious, 140 yen per piece
If you are lucky, you can take a photo of the reflection of Mount Fuji. You also need to buy an additional ticket for this.
* There is a package ticket for the boat and cable car for 1,400, which is a good deal.
But the weather was bad and I really didn’t see the reflection.
If you are lucky, you can take photos of the reflection of Mount Fuji.
Take the red line tour bus, this stop is No. 15.
I didn’t see the reflection, but at least I could see Mount Fuji.
The cloudy weather is really helpless.
Zoom in to see Mount Fuji
ps. There is a station called Otome-toge between Gora and Gotemba, where you can take photos of Mount Fuji from the roadside.
Taken on the bus.
4. Takayama Takayama
Many people go to Takayama to go to Shirakawa-go (shirakawa-go), which is known as the most beautiful countryside. Different seasons have different beautiful scenery.
So at first I only arranged to stay in Takayama for one night, mainly to transfer to Shirakawa.
But when I got to Takayama, I regretted not staying too long. I should have stayed one more day, because Takayama itself also has ancient buildings, which are worth visiting. The Hida beef here is also famous!
How to get to Takayama by transportation:
I took the train from Nagoya, which takes two and a half hours.
You can also take the Nohi bus from Nagoya, which takes about the same time. In addition, there are also Hida express trains from Kyoto that go directly to Takayama, but there are not many flights.
How to play around Takayama:
I usually visit Takayama, Gero (for hot springs), Shirakawa, Toyama (famous for its seaport and white shrimp cuisine), Kanazawa and other places.
also has a travel pass called Takayama Hokuriku Jr Pass. You can search it online. It is cheaper to buy it on Taobao in advance, about 780. This pass is inconvenient for me because I have to go back to Kyoto from Gero on the return trip. To buy this pass, I can only transfer from Gero to Kanazawa, then take a bus from Kanazawa to a place, and then transfer to Kyoto. But if I can go from Gero to Kanazawa, Gero-Nagoya-Kyoto , it would be more time-saving, so I didn’t buy it. However, if you want to start from Osaka at the beginning, then visit Kanazawa, Toyama, Takayama, Shirakawa, Gero and other places, and then go to Nagoya and take a bus to other places, this Hokuriku pass will Extremely cost-effective.
I bought another coupon at Nagoya Station , which covers travel from Nagoya to Takayama, Takayama to and from Shirakawa, Takayama to Gero, and Gero to Nagoya, 12,000 yen, valid within 3 days.
My itinerary mainly covers Takayama-Shirakawa-Gero.
If you want to eat, Hida Beef is a must-try.
There are two famous restaurants in Takayama, one is called Maruaki, which has hot pot and barbecue; the other is called Yuanzu Beef, both are near Takayama Station.
But Yuanzu, if you go early, it will not open, if you go late, it will be closed.
Maruaki basically has to queue up. So I didn’t even eat it.
recommends a rice ball shop. Go find it yourself. I also encountered it by chance.
The beef is very tender and chewy, and the sauce goes well with it, especially the rice.
About the attractions:
The Gaoshan Ancient Town itself is an attraction and a group of ancient buildings. The street looks like this.
Remember to navigate to the Kamisan-Machi Building Preservation Area, a 15-minute walk from Takayama Station.
Remember to eat a skewer of Hida beef skewers.
In addition, Takayama is also famous for its wood products. If you want to buy souvenirs, you can check it out.
High mountain accommodation recommendation
guest house ouku (Sakura B&B )
The advantage is that it is super clean. You can book a single room for 250rmb (but the bathroom must be shared). There is an elevator in the building, just on the side of the road.
The disadvantage is that it is a 10-15 minute walk from Takayama Station. The store here closes early at night. If you walk back to the hostel alone at 7-8 o'clock, the road will be very dark.
5. Shirakawa Township shirakawa-go
Shirakawa Township is included in the world cultural heritage and is known as the most beautiful countryside.
Takayama-Shirakawa, mainly via Nohi Nohi bus, it takes about 50 minutes. Round trip 4-5 thousand yen.
However, the ticket I bought already includes this ticket. I just need to go to the bus station to exchange the ticket.
bus station is right next to Gaoshan Railway Station.
will post the transportation timetable to you by the way.
Note: Tickets exchanged for free travel passes can only take open seating trains (that is, get on as soon as there is a seat, no time is specified). You cannot ride on trains with reserved seats in advance. The departure time is different, so remember to say hello at the counter in advance.
html This is how Mayor Shirakawa went in October.
Those who like Shirakawago can pay attention to the next annual Lantern Festival.
It’s best to take pictures in the morning or evening. It’s even more beautiful when it snows in winter!
Shirakawa-go recommends eating at the set meal restaurant opposite the Nohi bus station, which is right next to the Shiroyama building (the one on the right side facing the Shiroyama building).
The Pork Leaf Beef Set Meal tastes good, anyway, it is better than the Pork Leaf Beef I had at Takayama Station.
1600 yen
VI. Gero gero
The hot spring is beyond famous! It's an hour's drive from Takayama Station. Between Takayama and Nagoya.
Recommended accommodation in Gero:
gero onsen bosenkan
Remember to book a room from Tuesday to Thursday. I booked a room on Tuesday for a single occupancy price of 6,318 yen.
If you go there on the weekend, there won’t be such a special price for single occupancy, and the price will basically double.
Taxi ride from Gero Station costs 660 yen. It takes 5 minutes and a 25-minute walk. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to pick you up at the train station before 18:30. Before check-in, an email will be sent to confirm how many people are checking in and what time to arrive. You need to prepare Several bathrobes.
The bubble pool in the room.
The hotel facilities are relatively old, but the rooms are really great! It is a Japanese-style tatami room with a balcony and is very spacious.
When checking out the next day, the staff will say goodbye at the door, which feels like a traditional Japanese hotel.
recommends everyone to experience a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel.
7. Nara
Nara Xiaolu has already maxed out the circle of friends.
But I want to say that besides Xiaolu, Nara is also an ancient capital, which means there are many antique buildings here.
Try not to take a day trip to Nara. Stay one night before leaving. Two days and one night is the most suitable. I went straight there and stayed for two nights.
As for scenic spots, Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Nara Park are mainly for deer feeding.
Tang Zhaoti Temple-The temple supervised by Master Jianzhen when he traveled eastward, has black and white tones and is very styled in the Tang Dynasty period.
Tangzhaoti Temple sells an incense called Jianzhenxiang. If you like tea ceremony or incense ceremony, or like me, you just want to buy it because of the purchase restriction, you can buy some as a souvenir. A small handful costs nearly 200rmb.
Yakushi Temple - It contains Xuanzang related cultural relics. The details are not very clear. It is located near Tangzhaoti Temple. The red and white architectural style is completely different from Tangzhaoti Temple, but it also feels very Tang style.
Nara-machi - Suitable for shopping and looking at the interesting commercial streets.
I recommend going to this small shop behind Nara Kintetsu Station. The fabric products inside are very cute and exquisite! Nara's cotton and linen are very famous.
If you want to eat, try the persimmon leaf sushi. After all, it is a local specialty, but the fish inside is too thin and I don’t like it, so I recommend buying it for the first time, just buy a 3-pack.
There are many restaurants near Nara Station, the most famous one is Taira Mun.
You can also try the Manye Porridge, which is available at Kasuga Taisha Shrine . After all, the porridge in Manyeji is recommended for two people to eat one portion. I don’t think so. I like it very much. I went to the "My Waiting for the Wind, Also Waiting for You" in Manyoshu
. I highly recommend an izakaya across the road from Nara Kintetsu Station, Zuitoratan, which is open after 17:00.
These cost about 2,900 yen in total.
Recommended accommodation in Nara:
yuzan annex Yuzan Hostel Annex
Girls' room 160 RMB/person/night.
The location is less than 10 minutes' walk from the Nara Kintetsu Railway. The old wooden house has been renovated, so you can experience Japanese folk houses. The courtyard in the small courtyard is also very beautiful.
8. Kyoto
Kyoto is actually mainly for shopping, and it is also convenient to go to Osaka Airport.
Regarding the attractions, I went to Inari Taisha Shrine , mainly because I wanted to visit the Senbon Torii where Chiyo looked back.
Kiyomizudera -Nenenzaka-Nenenzaka-Yasaka Shrine-Hanamikoji.
These scenic spots can be connected by walking.
Kiyomizu Temple is really beautiful. It makes people feel very pure inexplicably, maybe because it is on a small slope and it is bright red.
Yasaka Shrine , I didn’t even take out my phone to take pictures, because I felt there was nothing to take pictures of.
There are so many people in Nienen Saka and Sanenen Saka that you can only take pictures of people.
Hanamikoji , there are a lot of people, but the wooden buildings are really beautiful!
The clouds are so beautiful that I am too lazy to adjust the colors.
There are two recommended accommodations in Kyoto:
First Cabin Kawaramachi Sanjo (Sanjo Branch)
The price for the girls' room starts at 160rmb/person.
Business class is more spacious than economy class. Business class can accommodate suitcases, while economy class only has beds.
The location is very good. There is the Sanjo tram station nearby. If not, you can go to Takashimaya and Daimaru Department Store to buy and buy. You can also go to Nishiki Market to eat. In addition, the Kanido Raku Kyoto store is also nearby and the loft is next to it.
This is a capsule-style youth hostel. The advantage is that it does not have bunk beds. The disadvantage is that there are too few bathing places. There are only two private bathrooms. Sometimes you have to wait in line and there are many people staying. I don’t mind the public bathhouse. You can directly use the hotel's public bathhouse.
gajyun guest house Yashun
is near Dongshan Metro Station.
It takes less than half an hour to walk to Kiyomizudera Temple. The disadvantage is that there are no drugstores around to buy it. You have to walk 20 minutes to Sanjo Station to buy it. It's a bit dark to walk back alone at night when the surrounding shops are closed.
I booked a double room with bunk beds and a balcony. The price for one person is 270/room/night. There is a shared bathroom and the room has a large balcony.
The best thing is that the room rate includes breakfast. The breakfast is very rich. There are 6 kinds of fruits, miso soup , rice, bread cakes, fried eggs, coffee milk juice, etc. The breakfast is so good at this small B&B. Many and exquisite, it is really worth staying.
Recommended food:
Crab Dole
Grilled crab, sashimi crab, hot pot crab are all super delicious, fresh and sweet. It’s almost like ordering a set meal for one person.
Hong Shao Pork
It is best to reserve your seat online in advance. The raw beef sashimi was tender and the sauce was great. The thick cut beef tongue is also delicious.
The tenderloin is particularly outstanding. You can eat it after grilling it until both sides change color. It is best to have it a little raw in the middle. It will taste very tender when you bite it! The raw ones taste much better than the fully cooked ones.
Soy dairy products from Kam Market
Fried tofu or tofu ice cream are both recommended. The ice cream tastes very refreshing and not greasy.
The final departure was to take the Airport Express directly from Kyoto to Osaka Kansai Airport and take the bus at Kyoto Kintetsu Station. Remember to show ICOCA when buying tickets. The original price of 2800 yen tickets can be purchased for 1600 yen.
If you go out as a girl like me, don’t go back too late at night, because in addition to shopping mall, food, drug stores, and convenience stores, many stores close after 6-7 o’clock, so I will be picked up by someone on the street. An insane person yelled at me, which scared me so much that I immediately ran to the other side of the road to find a crowded place, walked quickly, and turned my head to the side to see if anyone was following me. No matter how good the public security is, there will always be socially unstable elements such as mentally ill people.
When traveling alone, no matter where you go, try to stay in the room at night to read the guide.
This is about one person’s trip to Japan.
END.
